we have that kind of thing here too but it’s still only half a year… the states are so weird tbh like i was so confused when i found out that a 70 was a C in most of the states bc here it’s a B

wow I would love to not have the year-long dedication!!

and 70 is a low C here :( I was surprised on the other hand about the grading system in other countries like that would be so nice to have over here

High school. My 2-year courses are for the IB Diploma though, so they’re kinda like college-level classes?

And wow that’s pretty interesting for your course time! My school’s got a few like that but that’s not the majority.

Omg where do you live that you have to turn in homework after the summer? Does that mean you have the same class for at least 2 years?

I live around the DC area, US. I do have some IB classes that span for 2 years but surprisingly one of them (physics) didn’t give out any homework. Most of the time one-year classes do give out homework, though, typically for reviewing basic concepts and for preparing you for the course that’s to come for the new school year. Usually it’s not hard, but it sucks that we have to do it because it’s pretty much pointless for the class since we’re going to review stuff the first week or so anyway.

But I see your post and I’m like whaaaaat you don’t get summer homework?!?!?!

Parenthood

Since I finished the first two seasons, which were all new episode I had never ever watched... I moved on to season 3 and I realized, I've watched most episodes of season 3, and pretty much all of season 4 and 5  but whatever, still gonna rewatch them all :)
