he hides because it hurts and he’s not quite sure why. shouldn’t love be a PAINLESS, sweet surrender ? there is no bitterness in his heart but he finds it difficult to breath still. there is no hatred but his veins burn in agony. of course, nothing was perfect ; had he been naive to think this was an exception ? love wasn’t PAINLESS -- it was cruel because it was so kind. “ i should -- i should clean this up. ”

he does not need to look at the other to have KNOWN what was left unsaid. a small smile grows at the response; his poetry answered with more wistful HYMNS. leaning, he catches his sun’s chin with CHILLY fingers and finds warm lips to welcome himself to.
“ the journey of life is lonely, but if it ended with you, i’d walk A THOUSAND miles, A THOUSAND days, A THOUSAND years; just to one day kneel at your feet and call you MY KING. ” eyes closed, his nose rubs against the other’s affectionately, a soft breath leaving him. “ all i want to do is make you HAPPY. my whole purpose; it’s YOU. ”
