With the new Cuphead trailer coming out I'm already noticing something--
In this scene/episode, The brothers, mainly Cuphead, seem to be unknowingly protected by something
The devil himself can't even take Cuphead's soul
Yet in the soul ball game it was taken pretty easily
either something happened between that time, he got some potion or blessing or whatever
OR
the devil himself just cannot take it or actually hurt them for some unknown reason.
Could they be planning to expand on the Calix Animi?

each characters video attached to it had different computerized voices, all of them periodically saying some random letters (which was admittedly really spooky and I liked the atmosphere of it but that's literally all my praise for it)
For all the characters, and then on the last one that's just about the orphans, it makes a key and tells you like 'first word, five letters' and so on
If you manage to find it out, the code is 'mommy long legs is coming'
WHICH IS FUCKING BULLSHIT AND NOT EVEN A HINT, IN THE TRAILER FOR CHAPTER 2 WE KNEW A 'MOMMY' WAS ALREADY GONNA BE COMING
So kissy missy/cat bee is gonna have a more spider-like form (I wanna say kissy missy but catbee was on the cameras and left, and then they're the only one who didn't have a poster ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Ok this is the last rant I'll make on this cause I just need to get it out but--
Holy fuck I'm so genuinely upset, like they had that much backlash and still went through with $90-$100 of useless info and 'merch' that does more harm than good
I love the characters and will still always enjoy them, and this sucks for them cause now they'll be seen as bad.
Like even batim did better, themeatly, the actual creator, is a good dude, though they basically made up Bendy's story as it went which stinks, but luckily they're taking their time on batdr, which I will happily wait forever for if it turns out awesome. it was Mike mood who was on the business and gameplay side of things that let everyone down and was an asshole, and at least they didn't hide lore behind a goddamn paywall, making stuff that fucks up the environment needlessly.
Like c'mon we still pollute but we're trying to FIX that, y'know?
Mob games lost so so many fans because of this, and I really hope they do something really good to pull them back in, and even then it'll still leave a huge dent in their company, there is no undoing of what they've done.
