¡Gracias por vuestras felicitaciones! 18/02/13 Hello everyone! I'm writing after a very special week. Yesterday was my birthday, and receiving so many well-wishes has been incredible. You all make me feel so special!

The week actually started off really well. I was lucky enough to be awarded the title of Most International Spanish Athlete at the Mundo Deportivo Gala, and I couldn't be more grateful. Receiving such an award is a huge honor, especially being there alongside such important athletes. All I can do is promise you that I'll keep working hard so you can all be proud of me. This week has been a bit more relaxed. I spent the weekend with my family and friends celebrating my birthday. Twenty years already, how time flies! I want to thank you all for the birthday wishes and messages you sent me at home, through Facebook and Twitter, and also here on the blog. I also received some very special birthday greetings from athletes and other personalities—a complete surprise ! I'm so, so grateful; you've made me so happy on my birthday. Otherwise, just so you know, I'm still working just as hard. The training sessions in Malaysia have shown me that all the physical work I did over the winter has paid off. But this bike is very demanding, and I need to stick to the training plan and keep working hard. Best regards to all, Marc

An unexpected beginning 25/03/14

Hello everyone from Malaysia!

Yesterday we traveled to Kuala Lumpur from Qatar, because tomorrow is the Laureus World Sports Awards gala and, as some of you may already know, I'm nominated for Breakthrough Sportsperson, it's a great honor!

It's great to start the season like this, with pole position and a win , after a preseason that didn't go as planned. I have to admit I never expected to start the year in such a positive way. We were counting on being in Qatar to prepare and compete in the best possible conditions in Austin. It was also a race I really enjoyed, battling against Valentino, and I hope we can have more fights like this throughout the season.

It was my first victory with my entire Moto2 team, whom I couldn't be with last year, so it was truly special to be able to celebrate with them all.After the race, we all got together to watch it again, this time at a more relaxed pace. We didn't finish watching it until almost 5 in the morning! It's something I like to do when travel and other obligations allow it.

Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the Real Madrid-Barcelona match, but I found out the result after the team meeting. As a Barça fan, it was a real joy. We have all sorts of people on the team: Barça supporters, Real Madrid supporters, and of course, some teammates who aren't football fans at all. We Madrid and Barça fans respect each other, even though there's some friendly rivalry!

It's a shame that being in Malaysia means I can't stay for the F1 race this weekend. Instead, I need to focus on preparing for Austin and continue my recovery, even while we're here. After the effort this weekend, the area is a little sore, but everything is progressing as planned.

The dream debut 9/04/13 Hello everyone, We're back after a very special weekend. It was special from the start, because it was my first MotoGP Grand Prix, and also my debut in a night race, which is very spectacular and something I really enjoy.

I was a little nervous at first, I suppose that's normal, but as soon as you focus on riding, everything else fades away. From the first practice session, it's been a busy and very complicated weekend. I had to concentrate a lot on finding the right racing line, as well as working on the bike's setup. But the track conditions haven't been the best. With the wind, it was full of sand and dust, and it's been very difficult to find the right setup and tires. On Saturday, during qualifying, I saw how important it is to get the most out of the tires on a single lap. I need to keep learning, improving, and gaining experience. Everything went really well on Sunday. It's a race that will serve me perfectly for that purpose, to gradually gain experience. I was able to ride several laps behind the fast riders, like Pedrosa and Rossi. And I also had a great time, I enjoyed it immensely, and finishing on the podium was a real gift, fulfilling a dream in my very first race in the category. Now we need to stay grounded, work hard, and learn little by little. And start thinking about Austin, which is our next stop. A hug, Marc

More points and experience 1/07/13

Hi everyone! I'm back from the Netherlands with a great second place, which earned me some points, but above all, I'm satisfied with the experience gained over a weekend that wasn't easy, partly due to the weather conditions. When temperatures are low, you have to warm up the tires properly to get the right grip, and as you know, not keeping that in mind led to me crashing and having to start the GP with fractures in my fingers.

Luckily, despite the pain, I didn't suffer a serious injury and was able to race on Saturday in a very special race because of what Assen represents in the history of motorcycling. The fractures in my right pinky finger and big toe will be healed by Sachsenring, so we're really looking forward to the German GP.

I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate Valentino Rossi on his victory, because even though I wasn't at 100% physically, and that takes a big toll in MotoGP, he was incredibly fast on Saturday and it would have been extremely difficult to keep up with him even if I had been at my best. Next week we'll be packing our bags for Germany, but for now it's time to rest.

Por la tarde estuvimos en #Spurtléda58,  y fue muy divertido.  Se trataba de una carrera de Karts nocturna con algunos de mis compañeros de MotoGP.  Los Karts tenían bastante potencia y hubo algunos piques muy buenos… jejeje. In the evening, we were at #Spurtléda58, and it was a lot of fun. It was a nighttime karting race with some of my MotoGP colleagues. The karts were quite powerful, and there were some great battles... hehehe.

Looking forward to starting 2/04/13 Hi everyone! The moment to make my MotoGP debut at Losail is almost here, and I'm really looking forward to it! I've taken advantage of these holidays to rest and spend time with my family enjoying the Easter festivities. It's important to disconnect a bit, but without forgetting that I need to maintain my fitness, especially in these days leading up to the start of the races.

The Losail Circuit brings back some great memories. A year ago, we arrived there having barely done any preseason training due to an injury I'd been carrying over from the previous season, and we ended up winning the race! That victory was fantastic for building our strength, and as you know, the season finished very well for us. This year, we're traveling to Qatar again with a lot of enthusiasm, and the whole team has a lot of work ahead of us to get to grips with the racing line at this circuit and the power of the RC213V. The idea is to use the free practice sessions to make progress and reach the highest possible level for Sunday's race. As you know, this GP is run at night, with the entire circuit illuminated. It's really great, and if we get a good result, it'll be even better! This race is also special for us because it's the first time my brother Álex will be competing in a Moto3 World Championship from the start. We're really excited to see him there and we hope he does really well. Next week, I'll tell you more. Marc
