Here the summary : Le club de Raimon tout juste reformé devient progressivement la lumière de Suki. Derrière le comptoir du Rairaiken, elle écoute ses membres rêver du Football Frontier. Mais quand les ombres du tournoi se confondent avec celles de son passé, Suki se fait la promesse de ne pas laisser l’obscurité triompher. Personne n’a le droit d’éteindre les étoiles. And (poorly) translated in English : Raimon's newly-reformed club is gradually becoming Suki's light. Behind the counter of the Rairaiken, she listens to its members dream of the Football Frontier. But when the shadows of the tournament merge with those of her past, Suki make herself the promised to not let the darkness triumph. No one has the right to take away the stars. It's a retale of the anime, but a bit darker, with adults quite more responsables and where events have consequences (you can't have a childhood's friend dead and be perfectly alright, nope. and when you hurt yourself, an opening or an ending is not enough to heal, sorry). Oh, and one more character. Suki. I hope you'll appreciate her !

OUT THERE

Just finished all six episodes of OUT THERE a dark and suspenseful British thriller created by Marc Evans and Ed Whitmore.

It is one of those wonderfully photographed, impeccably cast and performed and intelligently written and directed British minis that kept me on the edge of my seat.

At the head of the cast is MARTIN CLUNES as a struggling widowed farmer and his teenage son. They run afoul of some frightening drug dealers who are ravaging the local farm community in this well thought out thriller produced by Clunes' real life wife Phillipa Braithwaite.

All I can say is there better be a Series Two because Series one ends with my great need to know more. More questions answered and relationships continued - as the tension runs very high by end of episode six .

OUT THERE gets an A plus from me ITV. A lowly yank who really loved it. At its center is a wonderfully tempered performance by Martin Clunes whose understated and gripping performances I have come to love since DOC MARTIN and MANHUNT.
