Just a dream?
Marc has been gaining weight like crazy lately and he is starting to be a little bit concerned. So he decides to take up jogging.
Marc: This is all my fault...I told him he should publish the story...that’s probably what got him into trouble.
Adam: This is not your fault, Fangs. I’m going to get to the bottom of this...and I swear to you if this was some other student I’m going to sue the school.
Marc: If only I were still a vampire...I would be able to do something...I feel so powerless...
Adam: Wait a second...are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Marc: I think so, yes. But Luke cannot know...he would never allow it.
Marc: Hi! This is Marc.
???: Oh, hi brother...Long time no see.
Later on...Marc is feeling a little weird.
JANUARY
The Rosenberg’s residence, 7:30 AM
Marc: So, how’s school Luke?
Luke: Do you want my honest answer or the answer I think you wanna hear?
Adam: How about the try-to-look-at-the-bright-side answer?
Luke: well...We got a new member in the Newspaper Club. We are already three members, so it’s officially a club according to the school rules.
Marc: It was so real...My head aches.
Adam: C’mon, it was jut a nightmare. You were right here, by my side.
Marc: morning breath!
Adam: Why would you tell him that? His principal called, and he’s in so much trouble. Marc, you shouldn’t be filling Luke’s head with more nonsense! This could have costed us my campaign .
Marc: This was important to him...And, really Adam...it’s just a school newspaper. How bad could it be?
Luke: Hi dad, Hi daddy...I’m off to bed...
Adam: wait right there, young man....your principal called us this morni...
Adam: ...YOUR FACE!
Marc: What happened?!
Marc: Listen, Lucky...your father...he is under a lot of pressure with the new campaign and he is worried about the repercussions of that article...
Luke: I know I know daddy...I won’t publish it. No need to convince me.
Marc: That’s...actually not what I wanted to talk to you about. It’s quite the opposite. I know how hard you’ve worked on this. Son, I am a writer myself too. I know how it feels. And I can tell you already...if it’s going to make some powerful people uncomfortable...then it’s probably a good piece of investigation journalism. Do it. Go ahead. Just make sure you get all your facts right.
