I headcanon that the song "Haven't you noticed (I'm a star)" was actually one of the first songs that marceline ever wrote (yes, because the vocals were done by Olivia Olson). It was before she started writing more emo music, and before she got popular, and it was basically her fantasizing about one day being famous and having lots of friends and stuff.

For the Melanin Beam Challenge from @creatingblackcharacters , I drew Marceline from Adventure Time! She’s canonically Black and it’s frustrating that her in show design doesn’t represent that. I chose to give her jumbo twists to try to mimic the silhouette of her hair in the show (idk if it worked) and more unambiguously Black facial features. I love Marceline and I loved drawing her!

I love Adventure time, I love that we were able to get a satisfying arc for Simon, however, I am sad and disappointed that it took a whole second season of Fiona&Cake to get Huntress to save Finn (and love him)

This upsets me, because although he's known her for a while now, she is clearly still closed off to the point Finn didn't believe Fiona when she talked about the growth Huntress had done and how she feels. Meanwhile, Finn has known Marceline, PB, and Simon/Ice King (and more) for so much longer, having shared so many things together and have been so open with each other, a love that should honestly go beyond what Finn and Huntress have considering how walled off Huntress kept herself.

I love Huntress and Finn together, don't get me wrong, but HER being the one to save him, kind of just, rubs me the wrong way (also, I don't Like Fiona & Cake world lol )
