So, as y'all probably know, i'm a 17 y/o mexican girl.

Today is an important day in Mexico because today a lot of women will dissappear, including myself.

Feminicides (Killing women just because they're women) and violence against women are completely out of control here, in my country.

Today is #UnDíaSinNosotras (#A Day Without us or #A Day Without Women), this is a movement around the country where women stay at home without going out to show people how important women are.

No, we DO NOT THINK THIS IS GOING TO MAKE VIOLENCE DISSAPEAR THE NEXT DAY BY WORK OF MAGIC OR WHATEVER. The purpose of this is showing to everyone that we exist, we're human beings and we're being killed.

I'm a teenager who is always scared of going out and never coming back home. I'm scared of all the news of girls that have been found dead and scared of being the next one. I've gone through some violence, mostly verbal violence, old man looking at me following me or even men of my age saying gross things to me, etc. This is just TERRIFYING.

We are fighting for all the women in our contry and around the world.
