Trial... and Terror!
Dazzler #13
This series is becoming consistently enjoyable.
First third is solid soap opera. Ali's problems with her father and her boyfriend get another airing, but this time there are developments. Particularly in the boyfriend storyline.
Middle third is a fun romp, with our heroine in prison. Surrounded by angry women. (Of course!) And, playing into tropes of the genre, her skimpy top keeps threatening to fall off as she battles her opponents!
Ali takes a beating at first, but - eventually - finds her inner strength and starts to kick ass. Rewarding.
Final third is surprisingly smart courtroom drama. We continue to see the darker side of Project: Pegasus with most of the employees spitefully going after Ali.
The unflattering portrayal of the Project in this series has successfully fleshed it out, made it much more "real world".
