Even though we had a mild winter, and were fortunate to barely need a coat, there’s something magical about March in Charleston.  Spring calls us outside: walk downtown or on the beach, look at the splendor of our architecture, savor each bloom as Spring bursts around us.  We invite you to take a peek at our newest Volume 6, where there are countless loves on each and every page.  But especially in March, we love the inspiration of these...

What do we love about March? Well, lots of things, really! I mean, I think that March is Savannah is synonymous with pollen, St. Patrick’s and SRPING! It has definitely sprung and we are happy to share our other loves this month with you too!

1. Southern Women’s Show : Be sure to mark your calendar for March 26-28 for the Southern Women’s Show takeover of the Savannah Trade Center.

2. Azalea Pink : this pink is bright, showy and SPRING in one.

3. Rhubarb : slightly bitter, sweet and earthy, I love pastries that feature rhubarb.

4. Stargazer Lilies : these symbolize spring for me, as lillies are also usually associated with Easter time.

5. Lucky Charms : Savannah is a town that celebrates St. Patrick’s Day like EVERYONE is irish and I always feel lucky to see four leaf clovers and other charms symbolizing good luck around town this time of year.

6. Staycation : let’s face it, not too many places in the world are nicer than Savannah right now in this spring time: weather, flowers, sun and fun await right outside your doortstep and I can’t wait to spend the month in town soaking up everything.

7. Bloody Mary : this drink is a classic and a perfect choice for the party friendly crowds in Savannah. Recipe and bloody mary bar to come on the blog!

In Like a Lamb? Here's what we love about March.

This month brings lots of things - a change in the seasons, five days dedicated to nothing but eating and drinking, and a King Street opening you won't want to miss.  March always has a lot up its sleeves! To name a few...

Spring buds come alive this month as we reach the first day of the season.  You have to love a blustery month for that.

Shoes on King has been shopping warm weather trends for months and the store is full of gorgeous seasonal transition shoes, like these Vince wedges in cream.

Avoid the pinches on St. Patrick's Day by wearing green, and look fab doing it. This gold and peridot ring from Croghan's Jewel Box should do the trick quite nicely.

ibu Movement is opening it's doors on King Street so we can shop with purpose anytime we want.  The new showroom has been under construction for months and is going to be a stunner! Stop by the grand opening this Saturday, March 7 from 1-7pm at 183 King Street.

March is the month we eat, drink and are extremely merry at Charleston Wine+Food. Find tickets here.

For many, March is the start of travel season.  Spring Break is up first and I, for one, can't wait. Sometimes the best thing about Charleston is getting away for a few days to really appreciate what a great city we live in.

With the warmer weather comes a need to get those piggies back in shape.  Months of hiding has taken its toll and the time has come for some TLC to the toes. Choose white, pastels or matte colors to stay on trend in nail fashion!
