A DANCE A DAY - DREW DOLLAZ Flex/Bonebreak pioneer Andrew “Drew Dollaz” Boyce delivers a soul-wrenching performance in the short film, The Just and the Blind, (See next post for a 60-sec teaser) as part of the full length multimedia presentation commissioned by Carnegie Hall. Dollaz character visits his younger self at key points in his life growing up as a young black male in Oakland. The piece is built on the Spoken Word brilliance of Marc Bamuthi Joseph and scored with a hard-edged tenderness by Daniel Roumain. The cinematography and direction is by the 3-man collective of cinematic geniuses known the world over for their excellence in documenting the global Street Dance scene, YAK FILMS (Yoram Savion, Kash Gaines, and Ben Tarquin.) The film, produced by @sozoartists, is part of a multimedia presentation that premiered to a sold-out audience at Carnegie Hall last week.
