Ohh, I couldn’t not make a doodle about Hares insanely sparkly shoes from S1-2 because well .. THEY’RE SO GODDAMN SPARKLY!

The glitter for SURE falls off around Hatters house, as Hare would leave like a glitter trail behind him everywhere like the little fairy (Literal Gay Man meaning.) he is!

Hatter would in the end get used to the fact his house was prone to being covered in glitter . He got so used to it to the point he just caved in and used it for finishing touches on his hats he made - It then gets to a point that he got THAT used to them where he knew Hare really favoured them shoes + he started to like the glitter finishing touches, so he’d sneakily every so often at night replaced them with new ones so the glitter never ran out!

I love over analysing costumes to the point I find the smallest of details and if they were ever to change I’d easily pinpoint them out . - like how Hare has multiple versions of his blazer / suit, where the prime color being blue varies in places! Finding out Hare’s S1-2 shoes have rainbow laces AND are covered in glitter sent me mad in the best way possible I love them .

They can have a little kiss every now and then … maybe a bit more than that with how clingy Hare is.

Drew this as a gift for my partner, whom I love, but it’s too good not to share here !!! Gotta spread my gay propaganda someway or another :)

uhh if I don’t chicken out I’ll be posting a bunch of doodles later related to this but here’s a list of hatterhare headcanons (in my interpretation of them!)

Paws-ish and freakishly long fingers dynamic

HUGE family (hare) x only child (hatter)

“Best friends” but also Best Friends

Married for tax purposes

Annual gambling trip (they *always* lose) (this is mainly an inside joke I have with @forgetimherelol and Hatter’s actor. They always bet it all on black.)

Can’t be apart for too long without getting lonely with large mood swings (they both express it slightly differently)

Don’t generally kiss or other things, but they love each other more than anything

Hare is illiterate so hatter reads to him sometimes

Hatter’s family is upper-middle class, while Hare is significantly lower on the food chain

Hatter doesn’t like really loud noises, Hare accommodates by… yelling at loud people. (He’s working on it chat)

Hatter has really, really messy tangled + matted hair. Being covered in fur, Hare knows how to take care of it and tries to convince him to. Hare brushes Hatter’s hair (this is getting redundant) but the comb generally gets broken or stuck.

Hare helps out with the family business (Hatter & Co Habberdashery) by wearing merchandise around or loudly advertising at markets. He’s the kinda guy you’d hear saying stuff like “get your ____ here, deal of the year!” Sometimes they give him a bell to ring. He loves that damn bell.

While working for the White King as messengers, they pass each other in the street. They exchange cold, hostile greetings… before bursting into laughter and catching up. No one really knows why they do this except them. This generally makes the messages late, but people have stopped caring.
