marching-man replied to your post “Knock, knock! Lud's at your door with a container of cupcakes.”
Ludwig manages an incline of his head and the barest upturning of lips at her greeting, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything important. I was in the area, so I thought I'd bring you something." He lifts up the container of cupcakes as he steps inside. "You've been well?"
Anneliese paused, tapping her fingers against her thigh. “No, no you’re not interrupting much. I was woefully underprepared for guests, I’m afraid to say.” Admitting that with a nervous smile, Anneliese pushed her hair back. “I’ve been, if that means anything to you.”

Manacles overwhelmed her wrists, but she managed to retain her dignity, with her back straight and her expression composed just so, giving an impression of coolness which inside she lacked. While she’d known since she was a child that her position might cause her to be a victim of kidnapping for ransom, she’d certainly never expected it to come from her distant cousin’s kingdom. The Clubs, perhaps, or maybe the Spades, they were far more devious. But the Hearts? The rumor was that their country ran on love and not much else (though her king would like to say that the Diamonds held that role). She’d always considered the Hearts and Diamonds to be rather close, and had thought that their shared family bond would keep war from truly breaking out.
It would seem she was mistaken.
“I would like to see Ludwig,” she said, keeping her tone as neutral as possible. “I assume he, and no other, put out the order for my capture?”
Delicately, she tilted her head to the side, observing her captors.
“A queen does not like to be kept waiting,” she said.
The captors yanked her forward by the chain holding her wrists, and she jerked forward out of her calm demeanor. She refused to give them the dignity of a scowl, however. She would maintain her limited facade of power for as long as she could.
“That’s no way to treat a lady,” she told them.

Walking along the paved pathway in the park, Luciano let his fingers graze over the tall plants; a small smile gracing his lips as he looked up the the sky.
“I really do enjoy the north..” He murmurs, looking to Ludwig casually before turning his attention back to the rainbow of flowers beside him. “It’s so pretty..the mountains and parks and stuff..”

Happy Birthday, Ry! Fun fact: In Germany parents have to have their child's name approved by the government (it can't be offensive or liable to making the child a target for bullying), and they can give their child up to... 5 names, I think it was! When the child gets older they can choose whichever name they like best to go by, so in theory, everyone is happy that way. ;)
wish Ry a happy birthday with country facts
that’s? actually a good idea?
the multiple names not the government approval, although i’m sure River Sunshine and January Tulip would agree with it. Yes, those are the actual names of two girls I went to school with. I haven’t even mentioned La-a (pronounced ‘ladasha’) or orangejello and lemonjello (their mom worked with mine which is the only way i know how to spell their names. Twins, boys.)
i am all for giving kids the opportunity to choose from a couple of names rather than sticking them with one. It would save me the trouble of having to pay to legally change my name.
does germany have the alliterative names problem though? because i feel like here would end up with a lot of ‘Alyssa Amanda Alaina Amara Ashley’ s if 5 was a standard so. names will probably continue to be mildly annoying problems here regardless lmao
