Creation Record served as a home for weird records – I'm sure Alan McGee would cherish this reputation, though things were much more complex. However, the label began as an indie rock haven for many groups in that vein, including Felt. The latter might be one of those great underappreciated bands, which didn't sell much, yet those who bought their records formed their own outfits. Yes, we could see Felt as those who blazed the path for others with their jangly guitars, mumbling vocals and the lack of anything conventionally rockish. Nonetheless, this doesn't suggest they didn't talk about the usual topics of rock music. I mean, the tune in the link is a slightly bitter riposte to one of their former members, but you wouldn't tell that thanks to the instrumentation.
