MAYBE THE PASTRY IS THE THING? THE BEAR
They try to make us think that the perfected lamb dish or the scallop dish may be the think that would get them a star
But maybe neither of them are
Because it's not good for either Sydney or Carmy to win a star on their own merit.
It'll lead to pressure build up and stress eyc
So why not get it through pastry?
They've slowly been building Marcus up, his donuts, Copenhagen, the award. Since season 1 his growth has been steadily upward.
From learning to execution.
Carmy and Sydney already HAVE IT
So how great would it be for the star to come that way through someone who would be happy about it but doesn't bank his WHOLE LIFE on it?
That being said I have no clue about the criteria for the stars and I don't know that I care or think it's important anyway
The sentiment in the food world these days is that stars have gone to restaurants helmed by terrible people who bully their workers
Just a thought
