💕 for a love headcanon: Damaia is a pansexual demiromantic. While she is open to sexual encounters with most people, the one person that she is truly intimate with (unless romanced and carefully) is Vashta, of the Frostblades. She knows that he understands much of her trepidation, and it’s almost a ritual between the two of them. Making certain they both consent, each step of the way. While Vashta is romantically entwined with another, he and Damaia love each other platonically, and always will. If romanced, Damaia will always tell the person she is with about Vashta, if they are uncomfortable with her continuing the sexual relationship, she isn’t against breaking that off, but if they are uncomfortable with how close the two are, then the romance isn’t likely to continue. 💣 for a stress headcanon: Marcus handles stress in one of three ways... Either he is gonna whittle and carve something; he is heading straight for a kitchen to cook up a banquet; or he is gonna go and work out. Sometimes it’s a mixture of the three. He likes being able to physically do something while figuring out whatever is weighing on his mind. And takes his time about it. Stress isn’t something he rushes to meet headfirst, rather methodically works his way through the problem.

It was a sunny evening in the dales. Prince Nico had snuck out to the fields after supper to bask in the warmth. He had been stuck inside his palace for a week straight already, another sickness having wracked his frail body. He was feeling much better already though, and despite the nurses protests, he wanted fresh air for once. No one would notice anyway! His mother barely paid attention to him as it was since his father died. The only person likely to notice would be his care taker Ashalle. And...

‘’Nico!’’

His ears twitched at the sound of his voice being called suddenly, and he sat up. Turning around, he was greeted by the sight of his closest childhood friend Kaili approaching. Along with her elder brother, baby brother, and friend Zephyr. Who if he recalled correctly, was the child of a maid who worked in Kaili’s father’s mansion.

‘’Hi.’’

Though he may not have shown it much, he was truly happy to see her. He rarely got to these days, and her always grinning face brought a small shy smile to his own. He hadn’t saw her for a while...As soon as their eyes met, she dived at him, knocking him flat on his back again with a loud ‘’Oof!’’. Kaili seemed apparently un-phased though, and absolutely refused to let go even as Nico tried to shove her off. Eventually, he gave in with a defeated groan, and let his arms flop back down to his sides.

‘’Careful there sis. Don’t want to break the poor thing.’’

Aya‘s voice game from out of view, though he sounded amused. Kaili squeezed Nico tightly one last time, before eventually getting up and climbing off of him with a small huff. Nico sat back up, before getting up and stretching. He barely got a break though, as moments later he had a six year old Solavellis firmly attached to his left leg, and Zephyr hanging off of his neck. He glared lightly at them both, but didn’t make any move to get them off. His friends were just...Very cuddly...

He opened his mouth to speak, intending to ask how they found him, when he heard a familiar voice yell his name. A voice that made him freeze up and immediately dart to hide behind Aya.

‘’Nico! There you are!’’

Nico peaked his head out from behind to taller elf, to see a certain human prince approaching. Marcus Exieron. He was kind to Nico, and to a lot of the other children that hung around the palace. He and his family were visiting from their kingdom for a month or so, and he had kept Nico company a lot for the week. Reading him stories, bringing him pencils and paper, teaching him to carve, bringing him water when the coughing fits would start, wiping his brow when the fever left him bed ridden, Nico almost felt like he had a big brother.

Almost.

He also felt like he had a big blonde nuisance following after him clucking like a mother hen.

‘’What are you doing out here?! It’s getting cold you could get worse again!’’

Marcus shrugged off his cloak, and attempted to walk around Aya, likely to try and cover Nico with it. Nico’s purple eyes widened, and he managed to get out of the way with a short cry of ‘’No!!!’’

Kaili immediately jumped to his defence, standing in front of him and pulling out her toy wooden dagger, waving it wildly at the human who was looked equal parts bewildered and defeated. Aya had picked up Vis again, and was balancing the child on his hip to stop him from attempting to climb up Marcus’s leg.

Nico meanwhile though was hiding behind Kaili, gripping onto one of her arms. It was one of those times he was glad she was a few inches taller than him, despite him being older. She giggled and jabbed out the dagger ever time Marcus tried to approach, declaring loudly how she would ‘’Protect the prince!’’

Suddenly, Zephyr yelled ‘’Attack!!!’’ Out of nowhere, and managed to jump right onto the humans back. The force of her small body knocking into his own caused Marcus to lose his balance, and suddenly he was falling forward.

Right on top of the Elven children, save for Aya and Vis, who were safely out of the way and laughing as their friends got squished beneath the large human teen.

Nico yelled out a loud curse in Elvhen from the impact, s omething that would have Ashalle scalping him around the ears for. Kaili also groaned, and punched the humans shoulder lightly. Zephyr had rolled off of Marcus, joining the other two in laughing profusely until she was on the ground in tears. Marcus pushed himself up, rubbing his torso from where Kaili’s toy dagger had dug in. He then began quickly apologising, his cheeks turning red as he moved out of the way.

Kaili was the next to get up, and she pulled a slightly dazed Nico up with her, brushing off his clothing and fixing his hair, tucking a stray piece behind his ear. He slapped her hands away, his cheeks heating up slightly as she giggles and sticks her tongue out at him playfully.

He turned to give Marcus his wrath next, as little as it would be in his tiny body, but he never got the chance. Because Tamlen came sprinting up the hill.

Right into Nico.

Who screamed ‘’WHY IS EVERYONE OBSESSED WITH KNOCKING ME OVER TODAY?!’’ Until Tamlen began rambling about how worried he was and how Ashalle was having a fit over finding Nico’s bed empty that is. Afterwards, he just sighed in exasperation, and resigned himself to his fate.

57: “ Is that my shirt? ”

165: “ Do you like it when I touch you like that?”

Marcus let Percy sleep. He knew that between the dreams and the stress of the Blight, the poor guy tossed and turned more often than not. It didn’t matter how brightly he smiled. Or how optimistic he continued to be. Sometimes, sleep was the only answer.  

He didn’t bother throwing on a shirt, the morning was warm enough as it was. Pants, of course, were required, as Wynne was oft to remind him whenever he came tumbling out half groggy and forgetting he had stripped in his sleep. But it seemed he had managed to keep those on this time.  

Marcus made his way over to the packs, rifling through.  

Gathering up supplies, and making a quick jaunt into the forest to find a few quail eggs, Marcus readied what he needed for breakfast. The dough for biscuits was easy and quick, left on a clean stone to raise while he whipped eggs into submission. Then tossed the dough into balls in the bottom of their iron skillet. Next went the cut sausages, followed by pinches of herbs and salt. All to be topped with the scrambled eggs.  

It wasn’t much, by any means, but Marcus knew it would fill their bellies with something more substantial the gruel that Morrigan or Alistair might attempt.  

So focused on prepping the companions breakfast, he hadn’t heard the shuffling of elven feet.  

Percy draped himself over the larger man. Grumbling about how it was too early, and why was Marcus always awake with the sun.  

Huffing a quick chuckle, Marcus reached around a single arm to pull Percy’s head down for a quick peck on the lips. Then paused.  

Turning around slowly, while standing to his full height. Pulling Percy to stand along with him.

“Is that my shirt?”

Percy’s ears flushed bright red, along with his face. Which he tried to duck into Marcus’ chest.  

Smirking, Marcus let his hands drift along Percy’s back. Rough fingers running along the worn fabric that he had disposed of the night before.  

“Itsmelledlikeyou.” Came the muffled response, Percy shivering at Marcus’ touch. Goosebumps litering his skin. Marcus let his fingers move deeper, rubbing into Percy’s taunt muscles in an impromptu massage. Smiling bright at the groaned response.

“Do you like it when I touch you like that?”

“Never stop, dear Maker…”

“I’ve got you, kid.”

The biscuits might have burned a little due to Marcus’ distraction. But honestly, neither of the two were willing to complain.

New OC

So it has come to my attention that I have yet to introduce my newest (and one of my oldest) OC’s. 

Just a quick blurb for some information regarding him.

Name- Marcus Exieron

Age- As of 9:41 (Inquisition) 34 (24 during Inquisition)

Marcus grew up in Honnleath, 5th child out of six, and the youngest son. Like his father and older brothers, Marcus worked for the local lumber yard. He started working at the age of 14, just grabbing scraps or helping plant new saplings, but became more involved as he aged, especially when he hit a growth spurt at 15. Quickly growing taller than his brothers, and just an inch or two shorter than his father. At 15, he also realized that he preferred the company of men, which resulted in him being outted and disowned at age 17. He quickly signed up to join a mercenary company, and found love in one of their members, Kanu, who was older by several years. The next few years he ran with the merc company, remaining loyal even as the morals and ethics of the group dropped. Finally, shortly after his 23rd birthday, Marcus managed to completely cut all ties with the company. Returning to Honnleath and the life of a lumberjack and woodsman. He has reconnected with his mother and youngest sister, the parts of his family he was always closest to. 

During Origins, Marcus can be found helping protect the villagers of Honnleath by fighting off Darkspawn, though he is on the verge of being over run. Can be recruited by offering assistance to villagers trapped by the Darkspawn, at which point he offers his axe in return for the favor. 

Marcus is an absolute teddy bear. While very protective, and can be provoked to anger; he much rather spend his time laughing and smiling. Making jokes to brighten up the lives of those around him. He will absolutely give platonic cuddles, and offer to carve or bake if it means cheering a friend up. Marcus does fight with self doubt, especially in regards to the guilt he holds over the actions he committed during his time with Kanu, he is willing to talk about it with a Warden who is friendly. He won’t hold back on the details, stating he doesn’t like lying, as it muddies the waters too much. 

As a LI, he prefers to shower his affection on his partner. Doing whatever he can to ease their burden. He likes to surprise them, whether with gifts or just by saying something that can force a blush or smile. Kisses are easy and soft. He is absolutely willing to go at whatever speed his love interest prefers, though it takes a while for him to grow completely comfortable, due to past experiences. He refuses to be a one night stand, and can be jealous if romantic affection is shown towards other companions. Is afraid of being manipulated, and will confront a love interest if he feels like he is.

💋Marcus to Darrian :)

It was the freckles. 

Didn’t matter if they were on the battlefield and Marcus was doing what he could to protect the rogue’s backside. Or lounging in camp, Marcus listening to Darrian tell stories about his childhood in the alienage. Especially not when Marcus had caught Darrian bathing in the river, and had spent fifteen full minutes apologizing. 

It never mattered where they were, or what they were doing, those freckles always managed to draw Marcus’ eyes. Begging for him to trace them with his lips. To follow the paths that they made.

“Darrian,” Marcus interrupted whatever the elf had been saying. Then moved closer, until their knees were touching. “Hope I’m not being terribly rude, but…”

Pressing his lips to the rogue’s cheek, he lost whatever the rest of his sentence had been. 

“You’re such an idiot.” Darrian groaned. Rolling his eyes at the human’s antics. 

“Couldn’t help it, your freckles are too damn cute.”

148: “ Thanks for helping me back there. ” for Marcus and maybe Theron? Or anyone you feel comfortable writing? :)

It almost seemed the like Warden had been ready to leave almost as soon as he showed up. Marcus didn’t mind his stoic attitude, lots of men had it.  

Those who didn’t feel the need to build themselves with bluster and brandy.  

Marcus jogged slightly to catch up to the elf, smiling bright as could be. “Thanks for helping me back there.”

“Hm.”  

So that was it, everything he was gonna get out of the man. That’s fine, Marcus shrugged. Smile never lagging. “Seems like your group moves with a purpose. Definitely not refugees, not the way you wield a bow. Not military, too mixed. Maaaaybe Merce-”

“I’m a Warden. That is the Witch. The other smiling Shem is also a Warden. You know the Golem.”

“Ah, guess that makes sense as to why you were so much better than me at the whole darkspawn killing thing. If you came for the statue, in all it’s … bird-hating?… glory, maybe you could use a few more hands on deck?”

Silence.  

This one was a tough nut to crack. Marcus thumbed the hand axe at his side, checking it’s edge quickly before flipping it out of the holster, catching it with an overhand grip, and launching it through the air.

The pigeon that had flown away from Shale being imbedded into the edge of a house, axe clean through it’s chest.  

“Impressive.”

Marcus jogged over to retrieve the axe, wiping it clean on already dirtied pants, carefully stowing it before moving back to the stoic elf. “Was axe throwing champion four years running before I left to run with a merc gang. There I learned how to use this beauty.”

He jerked a thumb at the two handed battle axe strapped to his back, the same he had used when the wardens had come and saved his ass from being handed back on a silver platter during the run in with darkspawn.  

“You wielded it well.”

Marcus nearly beamed with the compliment. Blushing brightly and proudly. “Soooo?”

“You may join us.”

Bouncing on his feet for a few moments, “I’ll go get my pack then. Meet you on the road before you get too far.”

He sprinted back towards Honnleath, towards the home he had built with his own hands. Ignoring the black stains. Jotted a quick letter for Sari to find when she was ready to come out of hiding. Hopefully she wouldn’t be too mad this time. Grabbing the ready pack, he always had it ready, just in case, he sprinted back towards the group moving quickly away from his home. Ready for yet another adventure.

Theron could only shake his head at the overly enthusiastic human, and wonder what exactly he had gotten himself into.

43. Sharing a blanket

Marcus never quite figured out how Percy was able to just curl up in a ball and fall asleep. 

It rarely mattered where they were, once the young man had gotten tired enough, he would just… sleep.

Marcus quickly learned to keep a blanket packed at the very top of his belongings, within easy reach.

Tonight, with the roar of a low fire to keep them warm; and a night full of bright stars in the sky. Marcus could feel Percy situating himself next to the larger man. Percy’s head beginning to tuck in against Marcus’ chest, arms sliding down to hold onto his waist. 

Smirking, Marcus reached over to his backpack, loosening the top knot just enough to drag out the soft material. Then laid it over both of their laps, ensuring there was just enough length to tuck in around Percy’s shoulders.

“You’re always so prepared.” Percy mumbled under his breath, voice already heavy with sleep.

“Well, when my love had shown a knack for catnapping near anywhere, one learns a few tricks to keep him comfortable.” Marcus let his words whisper along Percy’s skin. 

“You’re comfortable.”

“Which is why you always fall asleep whenever we find time to cuddle.”

“mmm… Yeah.”

Marcus laughed, but wrapped his arm tighter around the young mage. Listening to the deepening breaths. Content.
