Who: @marcusxreyesx Where: Mom’s Pantry
Sydney didn’t venture out most days. She still had a hard time even going to work where she felt like she had to smile and function at a higher level than she was capable of. But, she had to go by earlier to work some of the books in the office. At least in the solace of her office she could not worry about eyes on her. Before she headed home though, she had decided to stop by Mom’s Pantry to pick up some more food for her and Quinn. Sydney used to love to cook, try new recipes and meal prep. But just like most things in her life, she lost the interest and energy to do them again. Cooking was something she struggled with now. Even remember to eat food seemed like a tremendous task most days. Standing in the pasta aisle she was staring at some boxes of macaroni and cheese and wondering if she was going to stoop that low when she noticed a man standing next to her. He was familiar and dark rimmed eyes blinked at him a couple of times before it hit her. Sydney had run into him outside the Wilson when the storm hit. “Hi.” She offered, her own voice sounding off to her ears. “We met at the Wilson. Did you get home alright that night?” She asked, years of practiced polite conversation luckily being second nature to her.
