Just some silly newt mom Olivia shitposting. Feat. Princess!Marcy from my Raised in Amphibia AU because I missed her.
Anne never really imagined it would end like this, but here she lay defeated. Cornered by a bestial visage, its many eyes fixated on her slumped over body. And her beloved was helpless, stuck in a cage to watch . All her efforts to infiltrate the Leviathan castle had gone awry.
Firstly, she had accidentally taken a wrong turn down the third floor hallway, leading her right into the kitchen with a very panicked royal chef. She forgot it was the second floor that had the armory room. So, she improvised.
And by that, it meant she had to knock out the poor fella before clambering into the vents. The latter was her huge mistake, as it made way too much noise. Sasha, who had been standing guard near the rendezvous point, was then whisked away by what she could assume was the pet of the palace. Massive wingbeats and a shrill cry drowned out her wife's pleas for help, no doubt carried into the main chamber.
Her final mistake, possibly for the rest of her life depending on how this would pan out, was attempting to rescue her while still making a ruckus in the vents. Of course they would hear her coming. But she panicked, Sasha was in trouble. She would be damned to let that happen to the only other woman in her life to have been patient enough to put up with her. Ever since they were little really, when Marcy hadn't moved yet. Her father said it was due to 'business reasons'. Although he would later confide that it was actually due to her preferences, that her father Andrias had deemed it a distraction, and that she was most likely at a convent. Whatever that meant.
Oh well, reminiscing wasn't doing her any good. If the rulers were expecting her then she would welcome their fire and brimstone with steel and sabers. Loud clanking as she sauntered her limbs in what little space there was, adjusting back and forth to make sure she wasn't going to be stuck. Getting wedged in such a tight place would be the worst way to go. After a bit of detours and almost going down the wrong way, she heard rather loud bickering. Apparently coming from the path straight up ahead, accompanied by what might have been light.
That voice... She went past hesitation, all too eager to confirm that what she had been homing in on like a beacon, was indeed her dear wife. A mad dash if you will. She fell face first onto a pile of crates, her fall not enough to discourage her from-
A chill ran down her spine as she realized what was talking to Sasha. A massive black serpentine thing, not quite a snake given that snakes did not have massive feathery gills and multiple beady eyes. It's maw was unsettlingly wide, minute teeth ran across its jaws like the serrations on a sawblade.
Oh fuck, of course the Leviathan heir has a dragon... Maybe I should have taken that last name literally... She thought, glancing up at the beast as it continued to glare at her spouse, stuck in a cage like a little bird. An idea came to mind. Not a very good one, but at least it would distract the beast from whatever it seemed to be planning to do to Sasha.
Readjusting her helmet securely and unsheathing one of her sabers, she yelled at it loudly, angrily even. Its eyes moved first, followed by its neck with an unsettling snap. Rearing up to its full height as it stared her down, Anne could see how even its underside was thickly armored. Each overlapping scute and scale was enormous. But she decided to try anyway, immediately lunging while its belly was exposed, the attempt being short-lived. Why? Well, it promptly spat a fireball at her.
She tried dodging to the right, her elbow hitting the wall nearby as her grip loosened, albeit slightly. It grazed her a little, an exposed bit of arm had felt a mild, but searing sensation. Her hands were shaky even if her heart was brave. Sasha needed her this time around, and she was not going to fail her. She charged forward, this time leaping up and back against a pillar. It seemed her only option was to hit it where it really hurt. She was going to plunge her sword right into one of its eyes. As she tried to jump up again, a surprise limb caught her. Its talons instantly pinned her to the wall. She tried to stab at it, but to no avail, being thrown in retaliation against the ground. As Anne landed with a thud, she felt what might have been her leg break. The left one. Her arms were sore but could still inch her away despite the pain, her armor undone and equipment strewn all over the floor. Except, inch her way to where exactly? Wait, her sabers. A bit more to reach it nearby and th-
A foot came down, kicking away her last resort. Now left defenseless, Anne was starting to realize how her lack of planning hadn't paid off, peering up to face the monster.
She was done for. And there was probably nothing else to be done, except stare up at the polished ceiling alit with candles, and accept her fate. Well, it was a good run. At least she would go out fighting a dragon to save her wife. Her really, really gorgeous wife. The beast drew closer, each echoing thud shaking her slightly, the rumble of the floor was too much for her to remain steady for. It craned its neck downward, sniffing at Anne before undoubtedly about to eat her. She closed her eyes and waited for its jaws to crush her.
...
But it never came. The beast instead, seemed to pause, did she smell bad? Is that what it was telling her? Then, a flash of blackened smog. It appeared to have vanished, or so she thought, immediately retracting it upon noticing how there seemed to be a smaller figure in place. Its eyes opened. All ten of them, with a head adorned by horns resembling the beast's earlier. It started to walk closer to her, clinking with what obsidian carapace it was adorned in.
Oh, this was the Leviathan. Well, the latest in their bloodline anyway. She thought, wondering if she had time to make her last prayer for her family, still awaiting her back in Warwood. Her vision started to fade, the panic seemed to be setting in. Although that was happening, she could tell that a hand was outstretched towards her, as if offering support. She took hold anyway, despite fully knowing this was the same beast that throttled her earlier.
...
"Heya, Annie." What the fuck, it knew her name? "Sorry about that, I uhm... Well Sasha's fine don't worry, but she fainted before I could introduce myself to her properly. Although she did yell a bit at me, so I tried to not scare her, just a bit of grunting... So, how ya been, giiiirlllfriennddddd?" It spoke to her with a sense of familiarity, and that's when it hit Anne. "Marcy?!?!?" She screamed, not even hesitating to grab at its shoulders. "Uhmmm, haha hiiiiii? Yeah whoops, a little bird told me you were planning to rob the palace, but don't worry about that!" The Leviathan heir was apparently her childhood friend, conflict surging through her as Anne put down her hands to the side. "I didn't stop you because I cared about my dad's stupid stuff, pfft." "Wait, Andrias owns this? Andrias is a Levi-" "Yeah, yeah. My dad, duh. Part of the legacy! Whatever reservations you have, look, can you just put them aside for now. Please? Sorry again for almost killing you." Marcy pleaded.
Anne considered. "Okay, sure. What's this all about?" "Uh, remember that promise we madeeee, y'know, when we were like 8 or something?" She seems embarrassed to bring it up, even fiddling with her hands as she waited.
"Mhm yeah, the one where we were gonna 'get married if we didn't like anyone else' thingy, I remember that. Wait... You mea-" "Surprise! Yeah, I brought you two here, was supposed to be much better than this, trust me, so that we could all get married! Like for real this time! Dad's been pestering me about it sooooo..." She smiled awkwardly, raising her eyebrows in a way that made Anne feel she was waiting for approval. She was about to say something, until- 'WHAT THE FUCK???" Coming from right behind them, accompanied by the sound of rattling cage bars. Ah, this was going to be a tough one to figure out. Well, at least they were altogether in on this. "Ah, hello Sashy! Sorry, let me get you down from there!" Her form zipped up and about into billowing smoke, then back into a towering dragon to open the cage. Anne was left very confused.
Can you draw Anne and Marcy meeting

Okay, Ntf finished this one quite a while ago, it just got buried in other life stuff until now. Sorry about that!
Will it show Lady Olivia is watching over Baby Marcy?
Marcy wasn't exactly a 'difficult' baby, but she certainly wanted to go everywhere and see everything and barely slept. And even though it took a lot energy to keep up, Olivia always indulged and encouraged her curiosity.
Andrias used to take Marcy to the basement a lot as a baby/toddler. They no longer remember their dads “friend”, only remember a weird nightmare they had a lot as a kid.
So... Amphibiababies AU? This sounds like a really interesting idea
I see that you've already post a few things about Anne and Sasha, so that make me thing about the last member of the trio.
What if Yunnan became Marcy's big sister by accident? One day, a really young recruit named Yunnan was asigned as part of Marcy's escort during a short travel outside Newtopia. At the first, Yunnan was annoyed with this, because "nobody wants to be little creature's babysitter" but then, after they suffered an attack (Maybe a few bandits or some kind of dangerous animal), Marcy started asking questions like "What movement was that?" "How are you so strong?" "What's your weapon?"... And Yunnan is... Really touched? There's not many people interested in her skills and we know that she loves getting attention, so Marcy's non-stop rambling questions about herself were what make Yunnan's perspective about the princess change.
After that day, Yunnan started to get fond in the little princess, telling her stories about her incredible adventures every. Single. TIME. she's got an opportunity, teaching her how to defend herself (Maybe behind Lady Olivia's back? Olivia doesn't look like the woman who would let her "adoptive daugther" play with knives) and perphaps boosting Marcy's arrogant and adventure side
Rxally your mind.. (๑♡⌓♡๑) here have these.
I see her as an aunt or her other mom (maybe cause I ship Yunlivia?), but sister is also very fitting!! Now I'm gonna see her as a mix of all 3.
Since they all know Marcy is A Child, Lady Olivia wouldn't want her daughter outside of Newtopian gates, but she doesn't control her. Marcy would want to join this quest or expedition to gain outside experiences and generally just see the world and Lady Olivia knows better than not to deny her daring little princess. She'll just sneak out like last time. King Andrias is cool with it and encourages her!!
Marcy would definitely wander off, but she's not wandering!! She's exploring!!
What else can I say to contribute? Absolutely nothing everyone READ THE ASK IT'S TREASURE
Marcy being Yunnan's Number #1 fan is so good I'm so glad you gave me an excuse to draw this.
I don't talk about the newts enough so this was so lovely of you.
