guys, no the poll wasn’t rigged. no, twitter didn’t get involved. marceline won because she’s just more recognizable to the average tumblr user.

look, homestuck is massive and non homestucks are aware of that but that’s hard to translate to votes for a single homestuck character. they see vriska and think “that’s one of the homestuck trolls” but they don’t know anything about vriska.

marceline on the other hand… well marcy is our girl. even if you didn’t watch adventure time you still probably saw people have marcy pfps, maybe even heard her songs. you definitely knew about bubbline

vriska is iconic to homestucks but marceline is instantly recognizable to everyone
