Sorry I just have to say this theory to someone before I explode. Now that Taako remembers the Hunger and that he saw it in the Astral Plane. I think either A) he'll be twice as desperate to save Kravitz from that plane or B) (god this is the one I hope doesn't come true cause it'll break my heart) Taako will think that he has lost another person that he loves to this horrific thing since last time he saw Kravitz he was being pulled under by this thing

I saw your post about deleting your tumblr because of some unsavory people in the RWBY fandom. Please don't take it from me I was the same way when I got my first taste of the "rwde" fandom. Just remember if you follow someone that keeps saying things that you disagree with to a point that it makes you feel uncomfortable it is absolutely alright to unfollow them. And never give up on your dream for working at RT. I'm not giving 4 more years of college cause someone through a fit! :)

I’m not going to delete this blog. I’ll just unfollow all but my friends and a couple of artists/cosplayers. I’m not leting almost 4 years of college down the drain to have cry babies on the internet stopping me from working at my dream job.

Lord alive i've got so many questions to ask now. Ok i gotta ask because it's been buggin me since reading about the magic in rayman and saw you put Ales in the sorcerer category with a question mark. Does this mean Ales can actually use magic he just hasnt figured out how to yet?

and… yeah, actually! despite how much of a mess he is, and how late and little he showed his magical abilities, he still have a hint of them - even in-game, we see him and the clones turn the gang into ducks, so it’s safe to say that he mastered at least THAT transfiguration spell, as silly as it could be!

i imagine his magic similar to wild magic in DND, in a way, mostly due the fact that it was awakened terribly late in life. he CAN do some spells, and i imagine him getting quite competent when it comes to electric magic under the far more strict and focused teaching of mr.dark instead of the vague and generic ones both the magic school and the magician gave him (shoutout to my buddy jasper who shoved this hc in my head a few years ago during his mr.dark days yo), but for the rest it’s always a gamble to see if

the magic actually works normally, which more often than ever it doesn’t

the magic comes out too strongly or too weakly

the magic is straight up broken and casts something wrong, such as literally exploding the area instead of making flowers grow

the magic doesn’t work at all, which is the usual result

plus, contrary to literally every single teensie, he has to use a wand in case he decides to actually use any type of magic that isn’t electric-based! a catalyst, so to speak, to focus his magic into and avoid hurting himself as he casts it, again knowing that most of the time his spells go wild

not to mention that magic is incredibly influenced by emotions: a spell casted during a fight to the death, with the users filled with rage and fear, will likely have different results than one casted during a calm day to simply show off their skills. the rare times ales actually uses magic nowadays is during battles in which he’s already panicking and trying to go for his very last resources to protect himself, added to the fact that he has absolutely zero confidence when it comes to his spellcasting abilities. even someone with good control over their magic like a nymph, or even selah himself, would risk to fall into wild magic territory in situations like these!

TL;DR: yes, absolutely, he still doesn’t fully grasp how to fully use a magic way too powerful for someone like him!

ABSOLUTELY YES

and as i said a lot of times in the past, Mr.Dark values loyalty above anything else - and seeing Ales staying by his side and curing him, even after his Glorious Defeat? that does something even to the hardest of hearts
