Hello beautiful person! Once you get this you must publicly say 5 things about yourself and pass it on to your 10 favorite blogs. Have a fantastic day :)
Alright, this is long (two months!) overdue, but hey, I finally found the time. marenfriedman also send this to me, as well as @valdayamaksyl (who I can’t tag for reasons I do not understand and who also asked foir 10 instead of 5 facts) so I’m actually gonna do all 20 now. Also thanks to awoldancelover who was kind enough to send me 2 questions (How old are you? Also have/are you attending college?) when I was desperate 2 months ago.
1) I am 20.
2) I started college last October and I’m doing Literary and English Studies.
3) Funny enough, my Valdaya obsession started when I was graduating last spring because I was supposed to study for my final exams and I needed something for procrastination so I started watching DWTS and the rest is history.
4) I’m half German and half Dutch (we live in Germany) but my father never taught me his language. I’m actually pretty angry because of that since it took the chance from me to communicate with my big family. However, I started a Dutch course this semester. (I suck.)
5) I’ve got one sister who is 5 years older than me. She’s awesome and we get along really great.
6) English actually used to be my worst subject in school, even worse than Maths. Now I’m studying it.
7) The first TV series I watched without influence of my parents or my sister was Lizzie McGuire closely followed by Instant Star.
8) I’m atheist.
9) I wear my watch on my right wrist even though I’m not a lefty.
10) My friend borrowed me Mary Poppins at the beginning of the semester. Now it’s the end and I still haven’t watched it.
11) I’m still on a high that Germany won the World Cup. Such a beautiful journey that I’ve been a part of for practically 12 years (2002 was my first world cup, however I really only watched the final and I had no idea what football was and I tried to cheer on my country by drawing our flag but small Jude had no idea what our flag looked like so I mixed up the colors. 2006 was the first world cup I really participated in). Seeing them win that stupid trophy brought just a gigantic smile to my face. And now I feel empty because football isn’t on the telly anymore :(
12) I used to hate the British accent and always said I would love to live in Britain (because it’s so cozy) if it only had the American accent. I’ve got used to it over the years and now I actually love it.
13) As a kid I always had sequels on VHS but not the originals. I watched Arielle 2 and that Christmas special from Beauty and the Beast before the first movies, I had Lion King 2 and Pocahontas 2, and I still haven’t watched the Lady and the Tramp but hey, I know what happens to their children.
14) Winnie Pooh. Oh god, I used to live for Winnie Pooh.
15) First album I purchased: Kelly Clarkson’s Breakaway.
16) Whenever I bake, something goes terribly wrong but it tastes great in the end.
17) I guess I’m pretty tall even though I don’t feel like it. 1.78 meters / 5.9 feet (if I can trust the calculator).
18) I’m desperate to do another Interrail trip this year after my successful Scotland trip last year, but my friends want a relaxing holiday. 😩
19) I’m gonna cook some kind of Chinese soup for my Dad and me tonight and I haven’t tried this before so I’m pretty excited.
20) No matter how cold outside, I always have my window open during the night.
Aaand that was 20. Pheew. I wish I had more random or cool stories but you never think of them at the right time. So yeah, if anyone read this, I hope this was entertaining enough, thanks for the tags! Not sure if I will also tag people, so if I do, it’ll be privately. 👍
Take care!
