For this installment of #womenwriters in #womenshistorymonth I'm going with Margaret George and her novels MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTLAND AND THE ISLES and MARY, CALLED MAGDALENE. True story, my parents bought me the Queen Mary novel when I asked for a biography of Henry VIII for Christmas and my parents bought it instead by accident. Definite good accident. And even despite my agnosticism on religious things, I found the Mary Magdalene book really interesting and thought provoking. It's the Ides of March today and I'm only up to that year's February in my book. My nerdy goal for the day is to get to the part where Caesar gets totally stabbed before midnight. #ibelieveinme ・・・ I had to take a break from immersing myself in Tudor times. For some reason, reading about a narcissistic despot who felt entitled to whatever or whoever he wanted was feeling a little redundant with real life. Weird, right?
