ALSO, I wanted to say that I realized the difference between Margo and Stephen, because they’re very similar---which also helped me to realize what parts they both represent for me. Stephen’s my timid optimism and Margo is the reliable, absolutist pessimism; Margo’s my black and white thinking, and Stephen’s my gray thinking; Margo’s my impulse, and Stephen’s my thoughtfulness; Margo’s the leader and Stephen’s the follower.
They’re the duel personalities that come with depression---or at least, with my depression; and I didn’t realize that until now, but I think I’ve brilliantly articulated those two facets of my depression. And I’m kinda proud of that.
