Honestly he’s got way more gumption in him than the majority of Night Vale, it’s pretty much canon at this point that he’s willing to discuss/challenge things nobody else will. He also likes cats that jump in and out of boxes but don’t we ALL

Seriously, his reporting has gotten interns vaporized by glowing shapes an d he nearly got himself killed by Station Management so obviously he's willing to take whatever risks he has to.

And I'm sure Steve Carlsberg doesn't like cat videos, but what else can you expect from such a spoilsport?
