Mikaela smiled. “I love my family! If they weren’t there for me, I’d feel way lonelier. I had Auntie Maiah take care of me for most of my childhood. She treated me like an actual daughter. She supported me with almost everything I decided upon and tried her absolute best to take care of me like my mother wanted. She also taught me everything I needed to know like how to do chores, commute, basic manners and etiquette, and how to deal with people. Although my parents had died, they’ve stayed long enough to teach me a few things. My father had been somewhat cold, but he meant well and taught me about the struggles of life. My mother was the most interesting person I’ve ever known. She would tell me that all that will ever really matter in the end was if I was happy. But then later in life, I realised what they taught me is way easier said than done,” she said while Maria sighed, looking down glumly.
“I… don’t even know. I mean, I love them, but they’re just a bit much for me. They expect so much from me since I’m the eldest. All my family members are elites. My maternal grandmother is probably the most threatening person in it. She would yell at me about how fat I am, how stupid, has called me a disgrace, has hit me multiple times, and then about how she would always get high grades every grade she was in that she would always be the top student. I just feel so worthless whenever I compare myself to my family members,” the younger girl said.

I only have access to mobile so I can't attach them together. • Maximum is 4 characters • I'm literally chill with any ship, any • Yes, I do ships but I don't like answering too many requests for it (especially if they're all popular ships like McHanzo, Pharmercy, RoadRat, Reaper76, Genyatta) I can only answer a maximum of 5 requests about ships. • If you're going to request for You/OC x Character, please send as much information as you can. Do you and your mod like Star Wars?
Maria gave an embarrassed noise. “I’ve never actually got to watch the movies but I think they look really cool!” She said.
Mika nodded and said, “I can’t exactly say..”
I wish you would stop saying, "retarded," "short bus," "as long as it's healthy... " I know people usually don't mean to be rude by these comments, and I probably made them myself before Jacob. But now whenever I hear them, I feel a pang of hurt. Please stop saying these things. It's disrespectful and hurtful to those who love and raise the kids you're mocking (not to mention the kids themselves). As for the last comment, "as long as it's healthy," I hear a lot of pregnant women say this. Don't get me wrong, I understand and share their wishes for healthy babies in every birth, but it's become such a thoughtless mantra during pregnancy that it can feel like a wish against what my son is. "And what if it's not healthy?" I want to ask. (My response: you will be OK. You and your child will still have a great, great life.)
