Why would Peyote mention chickens then if he didn’t have any chickens? For a moment her expression does fall, brows lowering then coming together to knit in confusion as he says the word chica again. It is then she realizes that with context he’s actually not talking about chickens! 

Still, the child isn’t sure what the word chica means, she’ll have to ask him later as at the mention of them actually going to find chickens had her grinning. Nodding her head furiously in excitement, Opacho bounces a little where she stands. “Yes! Opacho wanna play with chickens!”
