A paint 'doodle' start to the first month of 2022 seems quite appropriate really, for a year of 'planned' unplanned experimenting, exploring, and playing in my planner! I've decided to work on the bullet journal again this year ... but with a different perspective in mind. I've been setting out the 'bare bones' basic layouts and I'll just paint in it when possible, with no reference to a particular theme or style. Just doodling whatever comes to mind at that moment. It takes away any pressure that I used to have, worrying about the overall 'look' to it. I'll be using this journal to experiment and explore and play creatively around the basic planner layouts. Perhaps when I look back at the end of the year I'll see some form of continuity, but that isn't really what matters -- it's just having the bullet journal to work on again that is the pleasure!
