“the limestone toothpick has hair”
i was tagged by @ailec-12 to list my top five favourite characters. i had to sit on this for a bit because it was super hard to choose!
adam parrish (the raven cycle). 🌿 ok. where to begin? i’d choose him for every slot in this list and i could still give at least other 5 reasons why i like him so much. i think he’s great as a character but the thing is a admire him a lot too! if i were to meet him irl i’d honestly like him very much. his work ethic is truly inspiring and he doesn’t let anything stop him for reaching for what he wants. he’s also really strong—i admire a lot people who keep fighting despite what life throws their way, and i hope i can someday get there too. adam’s thought process really speaks to me and i can truly relate to his way of planning ahead and compartimentalizing—but i love that he’s also a very compassionate character (more than i am) and how deeply he cares about his close ones. i could really be talking about adam parrish for days on end, so i’ll just say i love reading about him finding happiness!
ymir (shingeki no kyokin). 🌠 there are definitely other characters in the series that we get to see a lot more of, but i’ve always liked ymir’s story—she was this lovely, gentle kid, and then life fucked her up so she decided she’d stop being that kind, innocent little girl. so she started wearing a mask and told everyone how she was the most selfish person in the world and the very next second she sacrifices the life she’s built so that several other people get to live longer and happier lives.
marianela (marianela). 🌼 the most selfless character ever. that’s it. that’s the reason.
sybil branson (downton abbey). ☕ i love her! she started as the cliché rebel daughter but then grew so much! she truly cares both about people and about the causes she believes in. i’m still not over episode 3x05.
ash lynx (banana fish). 🍌 i like how snarky he is, and how resilient! he’s devoted to his friend and his brother, and despite what he likes to tell himself he lets people in very easily. i’m also not over the series’ ending.
i’m tagging @creativefiend19 and @tinyarmedtrex 💛
