What do you think about Bernadetta/Marianne, Claude/Petra, and Edelgard/Rhea?
Bernadetta/Marianne: WHY. DID. THEY. NOT. GET. PAIRED. ENDINGS TOGETHER?!?!?!?! Marianne actively seeking out Bernadetta's company? The two of them talking about their dreams? A reference to Budding Talents?!?! SADGFDGASDFHDGHAED!!!!!!! IT'S SO GOOOOOOOOD.
Edelrhea: So, full transparency: Rhea is my least favorite of the main Lord characters (I know Seteth is technically the Lord for Silver Snow but it's clear it was meant to be Rhea). Don't get me wrong, she's a fantastic character. She's just not a favorite of mine.
That being said!
I think Edelgard/Rhea, while not my cup of tea, would be interesting to explore given the write setting. And what bit of fanart I've seen for it goes hard. So I would be willing to give this one a shot.
PetraClaude: Okay. This will probably be my most controversial take in all of Three Houses. Are you all ready? You sure? You really sure? Okay. Here's my opinion.
PETRA/CLAUDE IS THE BEST CLAUDE SHIP IN THE ENTIRE GAME.
Their conversations? Flawless. Enchanting. Natural. Sweet. Fun. World-Building. Ground breaking. Absolute perfection. They both find a level of bonding few others in the game get. And I love it.
But what makes this the best Claude ship?
He puts his plans to return to Almyra on hold to follow Petra home to Brigid in their paired ending.
Think about it. Really, REALLY think about it.
In his paired endings with other characters, they either follow him, or they reunite when he returns for political or romantic reasons. That's all well and good. I like that. It works.
But Petra is the only person he feels so strongly about that he's willing to GO WITH HER FIRST. He loves her, respects her and her culture, adores her so damn much, that he chose to follow her before following his plans/dreams for Fodlan and Almyra.
Also this exchange from their A-Support?
Petra: I am not having an obligation. I will only be marrying if I find a good person. Claude: So you just need to find a man who meets your expectations? That could be tricky... Petra: No, I will be finding one. It will not be a problem. Claude: Oh? And who's the lucky fellow? Petra: It is my secret. I will not be telling him yet. Claude: I see. Do you think he can give you the kind of future you deserve? Petra: I am not knowing about the future. But my perfection... my perfect husband could be him. And if he gives refusal, I will be tying him up and dragging him home. Claude: Tie up?! Well... I'm sure the lucky man will learn to accept his fate one way or another! Besides, I doubt any man would reject a proposal from a catch like you.
They need to be shipped more. Seriously, this is quality stuff. Y'all are sleeping on this pair.
