SUMMARY: After losing a fight with Mahito, Yuji is transported to the Kanto Region of Japan. There, he is rescued by a young witch named Marie Monroe, who is the successor to Light Yagami in my Death Note fanfiction, Death Note: The Next Kira. Yuji wakes up to meet her and makes a horrifying discovery: he is not in his own time.

One year after the events of Death Note, a 17-year-old soon-to-be 18-year-old Gothic girl and wannabe witch named Anna Marie Monroe moves to Japan with her acquaintance, Christy Grim, who dreams of starting a singing career. Marie tries to get used to the different lifestyle in Japan compared to how different it was in America, since she has no desire to return until she graduates from her senior year of high school so she can be able to get over her breakup with a fellow classmate named John Michaels.

Everything seems to be going normally until Marie finds a Death Note, which contains the power to kill anyone whose name is written inside it. Marie is hesitant at first but then starts killing the world's most dangerous criminals and meets someone she only thought she'd meet in her wildest dreams.
