I believe that the part of me which accepts this quote is the selfish one. People shouldn't be obliged to follow our every moves, and be with us along every step. People, like us, have their own issues. So stringing people along every trouble we go through will only make it troublesome for them. People should show support at their own free will, and not out of force. We should make it that it is a choice to help out, and not an enforcement. The same thing goes with presences, people are more likely to stay when they are given the choice of leaving. Since being forced to stay means that their choice to go is invalid and not in means important. So, if someone can't "handle you at your worse" then that means either two things, either they are not in a high degree of closeness with you, to put the burden of handling you in such situations, or that what you go through is too big for them to handle all alone. This concludes that not every worse phase we go through we will have people we love holding our hands. That is natural, however. At times we need to go through our downs alone. Just like everyone else has done at some point of their lives. Also, there comes times, where we were not in someone's hard phases but we still loved them and wanted to support them. Sometimes, the important people are not the one who walk with you at your bad times, but are the people who wait for you after that darkness you were in. Standing in the light, to guide you through the brightness you stopped being accustomed to for being devoured in the dark. We can't, however, neglect that the people who choose to be with you at your worst are people you must cherish your whole life. Not everyone can maintain the sanity and willpower to deal with both their troubles and others. Those people are the kind who will always stay and remain in your heart.
