Reasons Not To Go To Marineland!!
Okay, so I see a lot of Pro-caps defend SeaWorld because of the horrific conditions of other parks. One of those parks being MARINELAND CANADA...the notorious marine mammal park in Ontario Canada which has been under investigation for nearly a year due to poor conditions for the animals and understaffing of the employees.
Marineland recently issued a VERY LAME video to defend themselves against the whistleblowers. Its extremely unconvincing, but sadly has managed to convince a few poor souls that Marineland is fine and dandy. Personally, if nothing was really wrong there, then they would have no reason to release some lame, unconvincing, defensive video now would they?
Here are a FEW great reasons NOT to go to Marineland, or to help convince someone you know not to go!!!
1) They are so bad that SeaWorld wouldn't deal with them. Seriously. They had an orca on a breeding loan there, but not long before SeaWorld was worried about the health of said orca and pulled the orca out of that Niagara Falls hell hole.
2) A lot of the pinnipeds suffer eye damage due to poor water quality. Marineland will tell you its because of old age, but the whistleblowers have countered this statement by stating that some of the pinnipeds suffering from blindness are only eight years old or so.
3) The owner, John Holer is literally a lunatic. He threatens to stab and run over protesters and sues his ex-employees and protesters. He also doesn't believe in euthanizing animals; nope he would rather save $$ by shooting them with his shot gun. Or by making an employee put down a deer using a dull knife. (I've actually seen pro-caps defend this guy. I'm sorry, but anti cap or pro cap how can anyone defend this mad man..)
4) The lack of staff causes death! Yes, death! Baby beluga Skoot was attacked viciously by other belugas and no one qualified was around to stop it! By the time the trainers got there, baby Skoot died in their arms.
5) The food is also a rip off. Apparently I discovered a picture on twitter from a pissed off customer who paid $50 for a very small lunch. Can you say RIPPED OFF??
