Find you someone who flirts with you like this in a haunted house.
Grabbing some bread and jam from the fridge, the couple joined the other two.
"Ok, don't let our presence stop your conversation," Kevin told them. "Please continue. What is going on here?"
"You've heard enough, I guess," Mario sighed. "Yeah, this place is haunted. Everyone who's stayed here, including us, has had unpleasant experiences in this villa."
"Unpleasant like feeling out of sorts for no reason? Or feeling like your mood sucks for no reason? Like something's pressing on you?" Kevin asked.
"Wait seriously?" Candace and Clarice asked almost at the same time.
Mario nodded. "Yes. I've been feeling this here. Come to think of it, I think all of the men who stayed here have been out of sorts in a way."
"Yo...," Candace gasped. "So that's why you're so grouchy!"
"Possibly," Kevin nodded. "But more about this ghost?"
"We're not sure who or what it is. But it really doesn't like people staying here," Clarice explained. "All the other guests got spooked."
"I guess that explains why it's not too lively here," Candace chuckled. "Must be rather inconvenient to run a hotel like this."
"It's been a nightmare," Clarice admitted. "We're going to tell my cousin we're done."
"You do what's best for you," Kevin told them. "No job is worth getting scared for."
"Right. But this is fascinating. A real haunted house... I kind of want to know more," Candace added wistfully.
"How long do you think these ones are going to last?" Mario asked Clarice in the kitchen. "The last guests left after only two nights, but I feel like it's getting worse with every new visitor."
"I'm so sorry, Mario. If I knew this job was going to turn into such a messy nightmare, I never would've invited you to work here," Clarice apologized.
"Amore, you're not the one responsible for this. You're not haunting this place. And you're not the one who locked me in the bathroom for two hours last week."
"Sorry!!! I still feel so terrible about this. Seriously, you should stop working here. I mean, have you noticed, you're usually getting the brunt of this? I've seen some shadows and felt some cold spots, but whatever is here never acted this meanly towards me."
"This spirit or spirits do seem more belligerent towards me, true," he agreed. "But I don't feel comfortable about you being here alone, especially at night."
"It won't be for long. After this party leaves, I'm calling Gillaume and telling him I quit. If he wants to run a haunted house, he can do so himself."
She was so impassioned, Clarice noticed Kevin and Candace come in a bit too late - they've heard enough.
