So there's the huge debate that's been going on for a couple years or so about the sudden disappearance of MariSou. Since I've just started out this fan blog today, I think it's only right that I give you my view on the topic. Summary: MariSou are still part of Sexy Zone but they need to be allowed parts in Sexy Zone songs. They're being diminished to Jr.'s. SexyBoyz and SexyShow and SexyFamily are stupid. So I have noticed lately that people are just starting to claim that Marius and Sou aren't part of Sexy Zone. Well, it's true that they aren't a part of most songs now, and most performances, but they are still full members of Sexy Zone. I don't know if you all have been following Sexy Zone Channel but they're always there with the other three, and I've noticed since a few months ago that on Shounen Club the three mains aren't referred to as "Sexy Zone" anymore. Rather, they are "ShoriKentoFuma". Meaning "Sexy Zone" is the five members. Those of you who followed the Cha-Cha-Cha Champion craze as much as I did know that on one of their first performances the host who greeted them afterwards first asked his questions to Marius. He then asked if they were "Sexy Zone" as the group of five, to which they all agreed. Hm. Sounds like Sexy Zone is five members to me. Now don't get me wrong, I hate that they're being treated so differently. Mr. Johnny needs to get that the best groups are always five members. It was said in the beginning of their career that Sexy Zone might be the next Arashi--that was, until it was dropped to three members and two sub-groups. Arashi is five members, and look where they're at. Before them, SMAP was five members. Look where they got. Great groups need numbers for a variety of fans. Not only that, but Marius and Sou are being treated like Jr.'s. I can't remember a single time that they performed with the main three whilst wearing those "special" embellished clothes that the singers wear besides the latest "Suki Sugite-Butstukachauyo-Hey You!" medley (sorry I'm too lazy now to convert to Japanese). But hey, at least they're taking part in Cha-Cha-Cha Champion and Marius in Sakura Saku Color. It's especially aggravating to me that the concert on Wednesday that I'll be at will only be ShoriKentoFuma because MariSou will be at some Jr. concert in Osaka or something. SexyBoyz and SexyShow are no better than Mr.King vs Mr.Prince and SixTONES. They're diminishing the images of Marius and Sou through two unadvertised, unpopular Jr. subgroups. SexyFamily doesn't exist; it's a big advertisement billboard for Jr.'s that Mr. Johnny wants to debut. So again, TLDR, MariSou is being treated unfairly, yes, but they are still a part of Sexy Zone. The subgroups are nothing to me, and most likely mean nothing more than advertisements. I only hope that once Marius turns 16 or so that they start getting the treatment they deserve. Sexy Zone would be so much more popular with the five, and it's about time that Mr. Johnny saw that. Please do comment if you have anything to say.
