It’s been a lot of fun releasing our second feature-length movie, Blowing Raspberries. Our first film, Pain Shack, was uploaded to YouTube in installments, and then we made the videos private when we released the DVD. Blowing Raspberries hadn’t been seen by anybody before we released it. The cast hadn’t even seen it until the day before orders started going out. Initial response has been positive.
The movie’s weird. We put ourselves out there with this one. The story’s inspired by the Jerry Sandusky scandal and Mark Twitchell, a Canadian murderer who was obsessed with the show Dexter.
We encountered some problems during the production, but thankfully the movie came out better than we could’ve imagined. Our effects guy bailed, one of our actors bailed, another actor got weird. We had to re-shoot several scenes. That’s no-budget filmmaking.
We’ve had a few trolls crawl out from under their bridges over the past couple months. You’d think giving Pieces of Talent a bad review is cause for a beheading. Keep an eye out for more head-spinning drama on this blog and mattsrottenreviews. Haters keep on hating.
