Hi everyone! i decided that my header and my avatar seemed to be favoring ReiMari too much, so I’ve changed them up! They’re both from official art, which I will gladly share, so here’s a bonus double-post for today!

MariSuzu Word Bouquet

my headcanon is that in order to write this song, naru suggested that they both come up with lyrics themselves. the lyrics would be based off of their feeling for each other.

naru, being married herself, says that weddings are about two becoming one. taking that leap and making that promise to be together is not something to be taken lightly, so their lyrics should be sincere.

suzu is pretty embarrassed at first, to say the least, but maria is delighted. she comes up with mountains and mountains of words for suzu. suzu, in turn, is a little intimidated. she thinks too much about the ‘wedding’ part. everything she comes up with is so saccharine, and they dont sound truthful.

i forgot what the thing was supposed to be, but once suzu focuses on words she only wants to say to maria, she knows exactly what to write

so the picture is this: maria with a mountain of stationary covered in hearts and stickers, and suzu with her single piece of paper. 

so now i want to break the lyrics down into worse words are who’s

Expressing suzu’s desire to tell maria how she feels. This sort of thing doesn’t come naturally to her, so to freely express them to maria is an act of trust and vulnerability that she can only impart unto maria

A defining part in maria and suzu’s growing relationship was the fact that they became able to tell what the other was thinking. Its pointed out several time that suzu can tell what maria is saying even when she doesnt make any sense, so I think its something thats important to suzu. more important now, though, is that suzu wants to make her feelings clear and say them out loud

to maria, the most important thing about being with suzu is being with suzu!! being with someone you care about so much makes everything immediately better. sharing with victories, their pain, experiencing new things together, maria treasure them all. she feels so blessed to be with suzu

To suzu, the most important thing about being with maria is that they both have their own strong identities but even so, theyve found a way to coexist. not only that but theyre stronger for it. theyre sharing a new point a view they couldnt see alone. theres a future thats only possible with maria by her side, and suzu wants them both to reach for it without hesitation
