Shane Hollander has always had a strict performance diet. He doesn't think there's anything wrong with that. Someone once tried to explain, "Well actually you have an eating disorder."
Well... Actually... One could argue they had a point, technically. He smiled and looked them straight in the eye. "Perhaps."
They only had the satisfaction of being right for two minutes before he murdered them, cut them up with the precision of a professional chef, sauteed them in a vibrant soy-ginger glaze, and ate them with a side of grilled broccolini. His nutritionist did recommend diversifying his protein sources, after all.
He wonders if he'll ever be able to share this side of himself with his boyfriend. Ilya loves him. Ilya knows Shane better than anybody else on the planet. Ilya knows all his secrets—except one—and has never judged him for his deepest, darkest desires. But Shane is sure he'll lose Ilya forever if he learns the truth. Ilya might even go to the police. As much as Shane has fantasized about what Ilya tastes like, he doesn't think he can bring himself to kill him.
Fortunately for Shane, Ilya already knows his boyfriend is a cannibal. And he stayed.
