happy holidays @unfortunate-arrow and thanks for requesting!❤️ you asked for a christmas themed aesthetic for maritus and that was simple and easy to execute! this aesthetic definitely turned out very maritza colored. i think she just loves snow and enjoys spending time outside during christmas and isn't that bothered by the cold. in fact i believe it is very hard to get her to come inside and warm up cause she'd just love to stay in the snow and look at the lights. i'm happy to make some content for this precious pair again and i'm sorry for missing linus's birthday!

AU Headcanon Ask Game: Modern and non-magic AU for Maritus, please?

maritza & linus | modern non-magic au

maritza krum is the daughter of the bulgarian president vasil krum. because of his political position, she's been in the public eye for most of her teenage years. she begs for her parents to let her apply to a university in the united states so that she can have a more normal university experience.

after settling in, she meets a fellow student linus sullivan when he helps her pick out some books in the library. she becomes interested in him and they get to know each other, connecting easily on a deeper level.

martiza doesn't share her father's identity with linus at first, wanting him to like her for who she is. she's also afraid that her identity would make things difficult between the two since linus's life is very different from hers. linus is also private and doesn't seem to like crowds.

maritza's choice of university is eventually found out by the press and linus also finds out the truth of who she is. at first he freaks out and feels betrayed.

eventually maritza explains herself and he gives her another chance after realising that he has fallen in love with her. the two start properly dating. he never gets used to the attention that comes with dating maritza but luckily they can have a fairly normal life in the usa.

Why do some zoos euthanize healthy animals? Marius the giraffe died on Feb. 9 from a shot to the head with a bolt gun. Workers at the Copenhagen Zoo then publicly dissected the animal and fed his body to the lions.   News of the incident horrified people worldwide, and the zoo faced backlash that included death threats to the zoo's director, Steffen Stræde.   This week the Copenhagen Zoo is making headlines again after it euthanized four healthy lions — two adults and their 10-month-old cubs — by lethal injection.   Stræde said the zoo didn’t expect a public outcry like it received in the wake of Marius' death.   "I think people are more enlightened after Marius," he said. “Marius hasn't made us the least bit afraid because what we are doing is the most correct thing to do."   To understand the rationale behind his comments, you have to understand the history.
