I'm Marius from Les Mis and just?? I miss Éponine and Cosette and all of my friends and my mind is just constantly !!!!!!! because I was terrible and ignorant and I still am oh gosh

I'm marius pontmercy from les miserables and i get really upset/angry when people make jokes about my friends' deaths. Not only is it a shitty thing to do in general, but it brings back a bunch of awful kin memories. I was a complete wreck after the barricade, self-destructive and traumatized and filled with survivor's guilt, and seeing people make fun of what I went through is such an awful feeling.

I'm Marius! Sorry I didn't get back to you guys sooner. I just asked for some encouragement and a playlist bc my memories are really bad right now. I felt really oblivious to Ponine's feelings and right now I just feel like all of the deaths of my friends are my fault because I haven't met anyone in my canon.

No need to apologize, friend, it’s not a big deal. I just posted your playlist, and I figured it would be easier to post some encouragement while answering your ask rather than with the playlist.

I promise, Marius, it wasn’t your fault your friends died. It was a war, and from the start, most of us knew there was a pretty big chance we wouldn’t make it. It’s not your fault we died. And please, don’t beat yourself up about any of this, especially Éponine. I know it’s hard finding people from your canon, though. Try not to get discouraged; if you haven’t yet, try sending in some kin calls to a few kin call blogs! It’s intimidating at first, but if you’re not comfy with it, you don’t have to go off of anon. 

Above all, though, Marius, please don’t blame yourself for what happened. It never was your fault, and I doubt any of us blame you. All of the mods on this blog are here for you if you ever need to talk to anyone about anything. Our ask is always open, and if you’d rather talk one-on-one, I can give you my main blog.
