What Jesus Did!: 'Everything Is Possible'

“Nothing is Too Difficult For God“ —By Maryann Lorts:
“The bottom of the mountain is always the most daunting part.
From a distance, that range looks magnificent, and it appeals to every sense. When standing at the bottom, it no longer beckons, but smothers one with push-back and doubt. The difficulty level sky-rockets inside your brain and the nerves make your knees shake.
That mountain says to you, “Ha, you think you can conquer me? Ha, meek and small person, I will conquer you. Don’t even try to get a foot hold because you will fail.”
Failure, you are one before you even start. What were you even thinking? Did you think you could conquer something so grand? Did you even think you could get out of that boat you have been safely rocking in? The water around you may seem calm, but take a few steps and you will surely sink.
You tighten your laces after taking a few gulps of water. Standing, you wipe your brow as nervous sweat threatens to take over your vision. You teeter on the thought of if you should put your gloves on or not. One foot is on the rocks and the other is in the grass. Do you dare try to climb? Are you big enough, strong enough, brave enough? Are you enough?
As a little human, we are born into sin hence we are really never enough of most things when it comes to the righteousness of God. Only He can redeem all things through the blood of Christ. We need to take hold of that truth and bring it with to the mountain. Having the Lord hold us up as we face the peaks of life will make us big, and strong, and brave. He will see us through and he will be our help in times of trouble.

Hesitation starts to melt away and you remember that wherever you go, the Lord goes with you. Your determination was never lost and the nerves were only self-made. Mountains are meant to be conquered, but not alone. Each foot step brings glory to God and each breath-taking vista sings Him praises.
We must remember that the mountains bend to Him and the sky glorifies His name. As you climb, remember to do the same. What seemed impossible from the bottom, now is so small compared to the glory of God. Your grand problem with fear disperses under the magnitude of His faithfulness.
Rest in the fact that He goes with you. Do not be afraid. Trust in the Lord’s provision for your life. He always works out all things for the good of His children.”
