I bought the Last Plane Ticket to the End of the World || Marksten Future Fic
"Mark," Kristen giggled as she felt her boyfriend's fingers on her thigh, playing with the hem of her dress while his lips were softly wandering from her lips along her cheek and in the direction of her neck. Her cheeks were burning and she took his face between her hands to stop while he was with a confused look staring back at her. She grinned, "Mark, we're not alone," Kris whispered and looked around, finding some curious eyes staring at the couple. She could see how her boyfriend's cheeks turned red as he looked around as well before he tried to shrug it off and winked at her instead, "Your hands tried first to get under my shirt, I'm all innocent," Kristen couldn't help but laugh while shaking her head, "Sweetheart, I think we just need to get used to it again that people can actually see us while we're umm...making out." Kris bit her lip and let her fingers run through Mark's hair to get it right again after she had in her trace of pleasure towards her boyfriend, kinda destroyed his -how he liked to call it- hairstyle. He did the same with her hair after bringing her and his own clothes in the right position again. He took her hand in his but before she could follow him in the direction of the next exit, he pressed her once more against the wall of Gate 78 and kissed her until they both were out of air. He grinned at the people who'd been staring at them and shrugged, "I just fucking love her," then he took her hand again and finally left with his blushing girlfriend the wide hall.
One of the things that had always impressed Kristen Snoot about airports was that they never seemed to end, one hall just followed another one. It was confusing, yes, but she liked the fresh air of the air-conditioners and the simple feeling of infinity. "Wait, wait Marky," the girl laughed as she tried to walk as fast as her boyfriend, "take me piggyback or we won't come very far without me running next to you." Mark stopped and waited until his girlfriend jumped on his back and wrapped her arms around him while his hands had a tight grip on her thighs. "Which way, Princess?", he asked as she placed her head on his shoulder to get a better look around. The girl smiled and let her eyes wander over to a clock nearby, knowing that Mark's parents were already on the plane and probably up in the air by now. "Let's go to the entrance hall with the big screen thing where all flights are listed," she couldn't tell why exactly she chose that place instead of a random Starbucks. Probably because it was not random. And because she liked to see what the world had to offer. She could see a grin hushing over her boyfriend's face and softly kissed his cheek, he looked years younger since his job at the Safe House was done and they finally got the chance to live a normal life again as visible teenagers and with minor problems like what am i supposed to wear to that party- A lot of things had changed in the past six months.
"Berlin, Paris, oh my God, London Mark, London!", Kristen was staring at the big screen looking at the different places that were to travel. Mark handed her a coffee he had gotten them, probably at one of the random Starbucks' and joined her, staring up to the long list of different flights. She could feel his eyes wandering over to her here and then, while that small smile that never seemed to leave his face got brighter and bigger with any passing second. After a while, she couldn't hold it back anymore and let the words that were running through her mind, escape her mouth, "We can leave if you want to do nothing but keep staring at me," she smirked and softly touched his arm before she turned around again. It took him some time and a few tries to clear his throat before he finally whispered, "I've got something for you." Kristen turned around and blinked as he handed her an envelope. Nervously, she played with it between her hands while she looked at Mark who's eyes were back on the big screen. Kris opened the envelope and raised her eyebrows as she pulled out two flight tickets without a given destination. She felt her heart skipping a beat before she could look through the hall with a confused expression on her face, searching for any hint that this was a joke. "I thought you'd like to choose where to go," Mark murmured and scratched his neck while he looked at his feet, suddenly seeming like anyone else but the confident leader he had used to be. "You have to be kidding me," Kristen said with wide eyes, changing looks between the tickets and her boyfriend. Mark suddenly looked even more nervous as his eyes wandered around the room, "You had this idea for my parents, that they could need some vacation after all they'd been through and I loved this idea so much. And then as I thought about it, I figured that we've also been through quite a lot and yeah we deserve this as well. Deer, I love you and I want to travel the world with you. I keep my promises. All you have to do is to say yes."
A wide smile appeared on Kristen's lips and she jumped into her boyfriend's arms. "Oh God, yes, yes, yes," she could hear her boyfriend's warm laugh next to her right ear and couldn't help but think about how lucky she was to have him. "London it is then?", Mark asked before Kris' closed her eyes and pressed her lips hard against his, not caring if there'd be audience or not.
Eyes Wider Than Before || Marksten AU
"Ben! What the actual fuck?", Kristen tried to losen the grip the guy next to her had got on her arm. They'd met each other a few weeks ago at a party and had started seeing each other soon after their first night. Ben was Kristen's first boyfriend after the short relationship with Michael which had ended quite badly, though she knew she was falling ways too fast for the new guy. He was a few years older and had just gotten his first own apartment. Since he had moved in there Kris had spent most nights there, not wanting to face her parents that were worried about her new boyfriend. This felt right. At least it had felt right the past weeks, but lately things had changed. The way he touched her was different. The things he had done some nights ago...she still couldn't believe that he would do such things. That he would hit her just like that. But he had done it and even though he had apologized she couldn't get the thought out of her head that he was someone different than she had thought he we was.
"Let go of me," Kristen murmured, too scared to actually use the full volume of her voice and tried to finally get away from Ben. He didn't even look at her as he dragged her along the almost empty streets. The sun was hot on Kristen's skin and her eyes took on a desperate expression before she turned angry. He wouldn't even listen to her, kept his eyes straight on the pavement and just walked, dragging his girlfriend with him. There was no way she could analyze why he was suddenly that way though he had been a sweet guy just about one hour ago. He wanted her to walk faster but with her short legs it was almost impossible to keep up with him. "Come on Kristen, there's not much in this pretty head of yours, you could at least try tp use other parts of your body," he said, still not looking at her. Ouch, that hurt. But not as much as his fingernails that started to hurt her skin. "Fuck Ben. Stop hurting me," Kristen's voice got louder and she tried to stumble in a different direction before he turned around, took her other arm as well and pressed her against a house wall next to them. "Stop being such an annoying cunt, Kristen," Ben hissed and Kris could feel the lump rising in her throat as she figured out in which direction this relationship was heading. "Stop hurting me, Ben," she whispered again, a pleading look in her eyes.
That's when Kristen heard steps coming closer and suddenly there was a voice coming from a guy who crossed the street, shouting "Let go of her!", in Ben's direction. Kris' boyfriend turned around, raised his eyebrows and watched the tall guy stepping as close as possible next to Ben. "What do you want?" her boyfriend asked with a tiny smirk on his lips. "Let.Go.Of.Her." the guy repeated and she noticed the cold and intense staring at Ben who only laughed, "Fuck Off, this is none of your business," murmured before he turned back to Kristen who was still staring at the new guy who had just tried to help her. With wide and scared eyes she looked at him, not daring to say anything as Ben's hands tightened around her wrists. Kristen looked away until she suddenly felt his hands being ripped off her wrists and heard him screaming out in pain. Her eyes widened again as she watched the scenario of the tall and very handsome guy pressing Ben against the house wall now who's nose and lips were covered in blood. "Don't you ever dare to touch her again," he hissed, gave Ben a cold look before he let go of him and turned to Kristen, "Are you okay?"
As the guy who had just -you could even say saved her- leaned down to her and lifted her chin she realized that she had actually seen him before a few times at school. He was a senior, Kristen knew that but she also knew that he had probably never seen her before since she was only a sophmore but all of this didn't matter as his face took on a soft and worried expression and a small smile appeared on his lips as she nodded. "Everything's fine," she answered with her shaking voice and bit her lip as she could feel her cheeks blush. Her eyes wandered over to Ben who spit out some blood but a weird feeling in her stomach made her realize that she didn't care anymore. "I'm Mark," the handomse guy introduced himself, though Kristen obviously already knew that but he suprised her as he smiled and said, "You're Kristen, right? I know you from umm school," he nervously scratched his neck and she realized that his cheeks turned a bit red. Kris smiled a small smile, nodded and let her eyes wander a last time over to Ben. "I think we should leave," she heard Mark say and could feel his eyes on her before she turned her head back to him and nodded once more. Her knees were still shaking, so she got a grip on Mark's sleeve who put one arm around her to steady her. She couldn't help but think about how much better this was.
"Thank you," she whispered as they were walking, leaving Ben behind and searching for a cab. "I actually know you Mark Highfield," she smiled softly, "And I know that you've got one of the greatest smiles I've ever seen." Kris could feel herself blush again and hating herself for always saying the wrong things to make situations awkward. But he only laughed and suddenly she could feel his lips very close to her right ear, "You know what Kristen Snoot? I also know you. I asked around for your name after I saw you the first time entering the school. Since that day there didn't pass one day where I could get your smile out of my head."
Confession: I just don’t understand the whole big deal with Mark and Kristen.
