i was reading some discussions about the possibility of the Tenth Doctor getting a new companion in his new audio stories, and while i would be okay with that (especially if it's a dynamic like the one in Dalek Universe with Anya Kingdom and Mark Seven; i love the team they made), i hope we get some stories with the Tenth Doctor travelling on his own or with one-off companions.
i love his post-Journey's End companions (shoutout to my girls Gabby and Cindy), but i'd love for this new series to follow his "rule" of not picking up any new companions (a rule he also follows in his novels set after Journey's End). this is one of the reasons why i adore his dynamic with Anya and Mark: they travelled together not by choice, but by circumstances and necessity, and Anya and Mark were so different to the companions Ten usually gets, and i want more of that or more of him choosing to travel alone (and feeling miserable about it).
