Nobles always pissed someone off enough to earn a contract on their head, so there was never a shortage of work for Lea. Larceny helped, but wasn’t nearly as satisfying. Stealing something only ticked off the victim, but killing prevented the victim from doing more harm. And they were always doing harm. It was only ever about making money, and it didn’t matter who they stepped on to do so. It pissed her off to no end, and being born into that crowd did little to earn her empathy.
Standing atop buildings, staking out the area, planning her attack, helping those who aren’t even given a chance to help themselves. This was the life she preferred.
She stood on the roof of a building across the street from the home of the man she was hired to kill. Her mind was focused on the marks she placed within the man’s home, watching his movements; she broke in some time before, but hadn’t killed the noble yet. She preferred ensuring possible targets deserved the death someone else was willing to pay for. Some sought it to advance themselves, others wanted to protect themselves from being exposed for whatever crimes or scandals they were involved in. She was not about to aid those who didn’t deserve it.
This man though, no doubt deserved what was coming. He owned one of the factories responsible for supplying the city with various metal parts; she didn’t care enough to know the specifics. His workers were grossly underpaid, abused by supervisors, and threatened if they dared bring the issues to light. Several workers already were “taken care of” after voicing their concerns and attempting to let the public know.
With her attention focused on observing the inside of the home, she could pay no mind to the area surrounding her. She was vulnerable, but she never cam across danger while on the rooftops of Dunwall, so she wasn’t concerned. She continued watching, deciding where to enter and how to reach her target.
