POV: Ethan Edwards caring for a drunk Y/N.

Fluff and mentions of alcohol

You honestly didn’t drink much. But if there was ever a reason to drink, this was one of them. You had just finished your midterms, and even better, you had just passed your midterms after weeks of studying. So when your best friend Ethan Edwards texted and asked if you wanted to go to the party he and his roommates were throwing, the only answer was yes.

The living room was crowded with people as you and your friends walk in. Hannah, your lab partner, was quick to call you over to take your first shot of the night.. and then your second,, and then your third. You start to dance with your friends when you catch a glimpse of Ethan with his teammates across the room. You decide to go up to him and say hi.

“Hey Ethan, thanks for inviting me, I’m having a good time!” you say over the loud music

“Hey Y/N! I’m glad you could make it!” he responds getting closer to hear you better. His friends nod their heads toward you and Luca says hello.

“Midterms go well for you?” You ask Ethan

“Ha yeah, I mean, just glad they’re over. Can I get ya a drink?”

“Sure!” you say and you follow him to the fridge

He hands you a seltzer as soon as Mr. Brightside starts playing. You take the drink and grab his hand dragging him to the living room.

“I LOVE THIS SONG LET’S GO DANCE.” You insist. Ethan giggles the whole way there as both of you move to the rhythm. The two of you dance and sing for what feels like hours, and you can’t help but love the way Ethan knows the lyrics to almost every song better than you do.

The alcohol starts to hit you all at once, and you can’t remember the last time you saw your roommates or how many drinks you’ve had.

“I think I need to sit down” You admit to Ethan, and immediately take a seat on the floor in the middle of the living room turned dance floor. He laughs and leans down to get to your eye level.

“Hey, you can just crash in my room tonight” he says. You smile up at him which makes him smile even more as he helps you to your feet and then up the stairs to his room. He goes to his dresser and pulls out a t-shirt and a pair of his sweats for you to wear. He turns around giving you privacy while you change. After your dressed, you give him the okay to turn around and the two of you just start laughing, neither of you sure why.

“You’re so cute when you're drunk.” He admits to you before plopping onto the bed next to you.

“Oh yeah? Well I think you’re so cute all the time.” You drunkenly confess while at the same time going to squish his cheeks. “I don’t know why I did that.” Both of you immediately start to giggle and he puts his head down

“Oh my gosh Ethan are you blushing. Oh my gosh you’re totally blushing” you say while still laughing

“Come here” he says with a grin while pulling you into him. You smile into his chest as you fall asleep to a kiss on your forehead and his arms wrapped around you.
