Recently, there has been much uproar coming from those proud to be involved in MLMs, claiming that those who are simply educated on multi-level marketing and it’s tactics are “haters”. My page is not a place that harbors hatred, shame or judgement. I want to enlighten my audience, shed light on the truth and remove the blindfold that MLM participants wear. Whenever I see videos of “Mohuns'' addressing their “haters”, I pity them. They have such a severely distorted perception of reality and are convinced that they possess so much power because they’re in the top 10% or “making money”. MLMs are turning vulnerable women into egotistical, intolerable and brainwashed beings, and I’ve seen it personally. You ladies are not “leaders” or “empowering” in the least. You take advantage of people and you and your finances are being taken advantage of by a company- wake up. Prior to my involvement in MONAT, I was unaware of the predatory practices within multi-level marketing. My former upline and classmate convinced me that I would be on top of the world with this business, but little did I know, she was lying to me. My friendship with my upline was exploited, and I will never forgive this person for her disloyalty, ignorance, dishonesty and sheer, utter selfishness. Because of this person, I no longer feel comfortable forming friendships, in fear that I will be taken advantage of. I’m turning my disappointment and the betrayal into empowerment. I do not want another woman to be burdened by another disreputable MLM scheme or distributor again. If being an activist in this community makes me a “bully” or a “hater”, then I’m honored to be one.
