PBR edges lower after prolonged July stability
PBR moved Rs 2/kg lower in the latest weekly assessment, ending a period of steady trading around Rs 247/kg. Indian PBR prices in the Mumbai domestic market closed at Rs 245/kg on 29 July, down from Rs 247/kg a week earlier. The adjustment was limited in size and followed several sessions in which the market remained unchanged, keeping the overall July trading pattern relatively stable.
On a fortnight basis, the market is also lower by Rs 2/kg, while the monthly view shows a modest decline from the beginning of July. PBR prices in India had traded near the recent high around Rs 247/kg for most of the month before moving down to the latest level. The current price is close to the recent low around Rs 245/kg, leaving a narrow Rs 2/kg range between the established reference points.
The three-month comparison remains softer than earlier market levels, placing the latest assessment within a broader period of lower pricing. Indian PBR prices continue to show limited short-term volatility, with the domestic market positioned between support at Rs 245/kg and resistance near Rs 247/kg. These levels provide a clear reference range for buyers, sellers, and procurement teams monitoring changes in the domestic market.
