This is an appreciation post for Mark Lee. People tend to forget that he actually has been away from his hometown, Vancouver, about 4 years and he’s done it in such a very young age. When I watched a video where he said he missed Canada, I could symphatize with him because me too need be away from my hometown when my semester begins. Therefore I still can go home when the semester ends. And my university is only 4 hours away from my hometown, by train, unlike Vancouver to Seoul! And I still missed my hometown during the period when I was away from it. Especially when I was having a hard time. Plus I only began to move out when I was eighteen while Mark, he did it when he was probably thirteen/fourteen! What a remarkable job he had done. He’s totally fully capable. And yeah we need to talk about his talent too. By far, for me he’s the most talented rapper in SM. Sorry Taeyong but when it comes to rap, Mark Lee definitely scores better than you although you are too one of best in SM. He’s got the right flow, rythm, tone, and attitude altogether. I know he’s still lacking a lot in terms of rapping, but he’s young and he’s in SM where you know that there are no sunbae in SM that has succesfully nailed in the hip hop scene. And probably SM just invested in hip hop when NCT 127 just debuted. There are still lots of room for him to grow. Have you seen him in high school rapper? That kid improved so much in such a short time! It’s crazy! Have you heard him sing? Ei boy he’s not another idol who gets the rap line cause he can’t sing, I’m telling you. He is totally fully capable of singing, that boy can sing! Writing lyrics? Should I talk about it? Nahhhh, you already know. And damn! He’s only eighteen!
I, as a fan, can only wish him a happy life. Whatever he wants to do, I wish it’s because he wants to do it. Even then later in his life when he makes a decision that rather the opposite of what his fans think he would do, I won’t resent him. I will always be a fan of him. And I hope you too, my fellow nctizens, can be understanding to whatever he stand for. And I hope SM will help him to be an artist he wants to become. Once again, you have done a marvelous job Mark Lee!
