crash landing ((not sure if this works but I wanted to start over if that's okay)) - @markofthefallen
When Lucid entered into Hell on his own curious volition, he did not know what to expect. All his superiors had ever described and shared with him was that it was a desolate place with nothing but the screams of bloodlust and agony of the damned, where streets ran red with blood like streams, and death lurked around every corner. The blue angel did not expect to see thriving city illuminated in neon lights and towering buildings. Yes there was fire and smoke, screams and blood, but not nearly to the extent he had imagined. A horrifying sight nonetheless, but far less dramatic than he had feared. The Sinner’s were thriving, they had a civilization and some sense of order. This realization drew the seraph in closer like a moth to the flame. But instead of being lapped by flames, he was instead zapped by strange, hovering robotic contraptions. They were labeled with Voxtek on the sides, something Lucid was totally unfamiliar with.
The chase was on, surprisingly fast drones closing in on the feathered tips of one speeding, agile angel. One of the three he managed to back-wing into the side of a building, sending it spiraling down below. Another gave the angel another zap, Lucid crying out as he dropped in height. Was it night or daytime here? He really could not tell but he prayed that by some miracle he’d avoid much attention from below. Speeding under a section of large billboards, another drone collided and exploded. One to go. Just as Lucid began searching for another obstacle to shake the last, another hardy zap met his body. The angels muscles seized up, cramping and spasming. Without the use of his wings, Lucid spiraled out of the air and crashed through the awning of a store, landing right before a resident fallen angel.
