GOOD RECORDS
*Psssst...want in on a Fur Face Boy secret?* Well then just keep reading this post...
A while back I received this e-mail:
The crazy thing about that e-mail wasn't the fact that THE Mark Pirro from THE Polyphonic Spree actually e-mailed me, but it was the the fact that my dad's trying to help spread the FFB word! (read here to see why I'm so surprised about that) My dad always bragged that he did work for some famous musician, but me and my brothers would laugh in his face because we always thought he was bullshitting! Anyways, I gave Chris an e-mail and a few days later - I was at Good Records. Heeeeeeeeerrrrreeeee's CHRIS! He's a great guy and is DEFINITELY a Fur Face Boy!
Good Records is a great music shop that carries every genre of music you can imagine. Even before I met Chris I'd use to to go to his shop every now and then to get the really hard to find indie stuff. Stuff like Comet Gain, Voxtrot, Final Fantasy, Ra Ra Riot, Figurines, The Russian Futurists, The Whitest Boy Alive and Big Phony to name a few.
Vinyl!
Alot of times Good Records will also have live in-stores music sessions too. A few artists who has performed in-store include Grizzly Bear, Sound Team, Sara Bareilles, Old 97's, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Erykah Badu! Cool huh? Yea, I know!
From big time nationally acclaimed music artists to now Fur Face Boy! Good Records has it all! LOOK! You can find FFB in the glass case sharing the same shelf as Johnny Cash and John Lennon - WOW!
So if you're desparately seeking that album you just can't seem to find (Comet Gain, Voxtrot, Final Fantasy, Ra Ra Riot, Figurines, The Russian Futurists, The Whitest Boy Alive, Big Phony) OR you just can't seem to find that certain Fur Face Boy shirt in that certain size, just remember that little indie music shop on lower Greenville Avenue - GOOD RECORDS!
P.S. Thanks dad.
