          He’s about to open his mouth to say that oddly enough, he has actually laid eyes on the tiny menace currently residing in his apartment ( who would presumably continue to reside there for another sixteen years, give or take a while ). But then he shuts it again–eyes darting from the aforementioned tiny menace being held in front of him to the TV, which has seen almost as many playthroughs of Alvin and the Chipmunks as it has Shrek–which is a truly horrifying prospect. “…oh my god.”

    time changes everything.  one day they were in elementary school being friends     and not having a care in a world, and now they were in high school.  and they     had to be realistic, not every friendship would last.  time changes people.  and     boone saw it, in himself, in the friends he had now.  eyes shifted around the table     he was sitting at during lunch.  the popular crowd was where he rolled with, but     it didn’t mean he was a total asshole.  at least not always.

    he glanced over at puck, and for a brief second he remembered their short but     sweet friendship.  but now, he was a total stranger, sitting with that girl.  it was     just, different now.  time changes, and so did they.
